Acting like a wise system with consideration of his near future, he shut his mouth.
Trying very hard to be polite, he said with barely concealed annoyance, "Dear host and 'hostess', please don't interrupt me. I don't want to see you guys a moment more than necessary either. So let's just bear with each other, okay?"
"As I was saying, I still had some information to give you. It's about the original people whose body you're in-"
"Original host?" Willow asked. Since he rarely argued and was a lot more laid back most of the time, the system had a somewhat favorable impression of him.
"Ah, yes, dear host. There were people who were originally born in these bodies, you know. I scanned through the data while a certain someone was lamenting her narcissism. This is the summary. Please ask me if you have any questions."
"The original owners had a good relationship with their family. Their personalities were also quite like you two. The boy was reserved and introverted, while the girl was popular, a social butterfly, and a bit narcissist-" The system rolled its eyes at Adelia, who was busy fixing her hair.
" -But only a bit, unlike our dear hostess here who has a crazy level of self-praise."
"Hmph, you're just jealous. Anyway, what's up with this useless info? Tell us about Will's relationship with the male lead! That's most important!"
The previously timid system now openly argued with Adelia. After all, at that time it was nervous about the type of host he'll get. But looking at these two, he just couldn't understand his previous anxiety. These two were bigger idiots than him, anyway.
"I was just getting there, you know. The original Willow and the male lead were competitors in everything although personally, I think it was quite one-sided. Like, Charlie had first place in studies with Willow being second. Charlie is the wealthiest here, with Will being second. So naturally, the original owner showed quite sour behavior towards him."
"-But here's the confusing thing. Although Willow passed many sarcastic comments about him, Charlie never retaliated. So his feelings about all this aren't clear it all. It may be because he didn't think Willow worthy of his attention, or he might be too indifferent to care..."
The system trailed off, thoughtful. Adelia too was deep in thought as she wondered, "Hmm...enemies to lovers? Or not? I mean, nothing is clear."
After brooding some more, she sighed, "Ah, whatever. We'll just go with the general flow of the story for now. The next step is, increasing the time you both spend together."
"Well, I'm leaving. Not that you guys care anyway," The blue screen quietly faded away, unnoticed.
Hearing Adelia, Willow's mind immediately jumped to the worst possibility. He shook his head and stated firmly, "Adel, I'm not going to live with him. Ever."
Rolling her eyes, Adelia replied, "Who's asking you to do that, Will? That's a step for later. I was thinking of the time in school, idiot."
"Even though you guys are in the same school, the only time you see each other is during the break period. That too is very short as almost all the time there's a swarm of fangirls around him. So, what we need to do is-" Adelia took a deep breath and concluded, "-Get you guys in the same class! Seat-mates, if possible."
Willow released a breath in relief as his sister seemed to be thinking at least a little sensibly and rationally now. Recalling her previous actions, he seriously thought she was going to make him break into Charlie's house and cling to him.
Changing classes should be easy enough, right? Right?
Willow didn't know how wrong he was when he thought that Adelia could ever be rational.
"Dad, I'm asking to change classes because Will has a certain special person there. He can't live without them! Please, he even threatened to take his own life! I don't want to see my only brother die because of a crush!!!"
