William POV
A few moments after Rin finally left, I stood up slowly making sure not stir up my aching bones I walked out from the living room checking the various rooms in order to find where Saber was.
When I opened the door to the dojo room I found her sitting in the corner meditating my eyes wondered analyzing her form.
She wore a simple white shirt with a blue bow, a blue skirt, along with black high knee socks it was just simple clothing yet on her it was elegant.
I shook my head and cleared my throat she opens her eyes revealing her captivating green eyes before me once more "I see that you've finally awaken," she said in return I gave a nod "yeah I just woke up a few minutes ago,"
The room went silent after that until I broke it "listen...about last night I wanted to apologize i-it was an accident it wasn't my intention for that to happen," her emotionless like demeanor disappeared a slight red hue appearing on her cheeks until she coughed regaining her composure "it's fine mast- no William I know it was an accident I do not blame you for it that part of my ire is directed at Archer," she said filling me with relief.
"Oh well that's good..." I replied trailing off awkwardly not knowing what to say "how are you though? You sustained numerous amounts of damage from the battle compared to your brother if you're not feeling well, you should still be resting," she asked getting up in my face I didn't flinch back from the stare merely grunting "I'm fine just some minor amounts of aches here and there that's it."
"Very well then although I must say I am impressed with your performance in battle last night, but I must insist that you do not do so again it's troublesome for a master much less two of them to take such actions," Saber complimented yet admonished at the same time.
"Combat is my main role of expertise and you must carry out your own role there is no necessity for a master to protect his servant neither is there any reason to do so," she continued maintaining her calm demeanor while my right eye twitched.
"Your wrong Saber you see I have many reasons to keep you alive mainly in order to win this war and achieve my wish this world that we currently live in it's to cruel to dark and if I can make a wish upon the grail then I can ask it to purge the world of all evil.
Make it a world of peace where no one has to suffer or die needlessly....not to mention that we agreed to work together in this war when we shook hands remember," I replied straight forwardly making the servant frown yet look touched at the same time.
"...I see I will admit that your wish is a noble one much like your fathers who summoned me as his servant in the previous war.
Yet the methods that I've seen so far last night have suggested otherwise they are too much like your father's dishonorable," she said with a small hint of contempt when bringing up my father I narrowed my eyes.
"I don't know about you Saber but if someone I know is being a threatened, I make it my business to fix it by any means necessary even if it means the sacrifice of the many.
Your time has long since passed things like honor and chivalry are dead here if that's what you expect from me then you should just wish to go back to your own time using the grail," I coldly replied my hands clenched tightly.
She directs her gaze away while I turned ready to leave "wait!" Saber called out which made me pause midway through "great now what do you want?" I asked barely concealing my irritation.
"First off I wish to apologize I did not to wish cause problems between us, secondly there's still something I need to ask you about with what you did last night," she said in a sincere tone making my gaze turn soft instead of maintaining a full out glare.
"Alright what do you want to know about?" I questioned crossing my arms together watching as her brows furrow together "I noticed when you blocked my blade from landing on Archer it was a perfect copy of my own technique not to mention your speed it resembled that of Lancer's greatly how is that possible?" she asked keeping the disbelief from her tone.
"In order to answer that were going to have to go back to the beginning of what I can only remember of this life of mine," I replied sitting down on the dojo mat with a distant look while Saber followed taking a seat in front of me.
"You might be wondering by what I mean by that well ten years ago a great fire engulfed Fuyuki supposedly caused by the last winner of the war long story short it left me without any of my memories," I continued keeping note of that small flinch back from Saber.
"...It was hell on earth I remember just walking through it trying to live to survive but then I had collapsed and had no energy to get back.
That is until I saw another boy Shirou somehow, he was still able to walk through that hell with no problem seeing him was what had rejuvenated my will to live once again.
So, I stood up catching up to him but what we didn't see was a pile of rumble ready to crush us dead I thought it was over until we were saved by Kiritsugu who clutched our hands with happiness while his face was one of joy at having found us alive," I recalled the images playing over in my head.
"We were both in critical condition at that time because of the amount of smoke we had inhaled but then the next thing I knew Kiritsugu had saved us pulling out something that shined golden with a vague outline of a sheath.
He putted it in Shirou while sacrificing his crest to save me the last thing I could remember seeing was a vague image of...well you before I was knocked out," I said pointing at Saber who had her mouth open "Avalon," she murmured under her breath.
"After that I started having dreams to which I can finally confirm were connected to you I saw many of your battles and when I started learning magecraft from the old man we had learned that something changed about the way my mind worked.
The average human could only use 10 percent of their brain but me I could use the full 100 percent which granted me an intense photographic like memory reflex that allowed me to perfectly replicate any physical like movements without any practice," I explained allowing Saber to fully process this information. (A/N This is author here telling you now that the information regarding the brain is false)
Saber remained still her eyes were wide until she nodded "I-I see so you've seen most of my life then?" she asked I shook my head "not all of it just some of it," I replied making her look down in thought "I see then I can only assume that what happened to you was a side effect from being exposed to the energy of Avalon the sheath to my blade...Excalibur," she said.
"Then that makes you King Arthur...or?" I questioned vaguely wondering what her real name was because King Arthur was supposed to be a name for a guy not a woman from what I recall.
Saber nods her head "yes my real name is Artoria Pendragon but I must insist that you still call me Saber when in front of others should someone find out my real identity then they will know both my strengths and weaknesses," she explained in a grave tone.
"Right, that makes sense," I replied agreeing with her words "Saber, Rider, Assassin, Caster, Lancer, Archer, and Berserker all class names that match with the skills that a heroic spirit is most attuned towards for me it's swords which makes me a Saber for Archer it would be a bow, but he's sort of an anomaly for I know of no Archer that fights with swords," Saber explained with a slight confused tone near the end when she tried telling the skills of the Archer servant of this war.
The rest of that morning was spent talking about the advantage and disadvantages of each class along with what Noble Phantasms were.
Midway through though my phone rang "William Emiya speaking who is this?" I asked answering the phone while Saber devoured one of Shirou's precooked breakfast meals "YO WILLIAM!!" I winced pulling the phone away from my ear "damn it you Fuji-nee how many times have told you not to freaking yell whenever you call one of us!" I shouted back through the phone only to be ignored.
"Listen Shirou isn't answering his phone so I was wondering if you could get him to deliver some of food for me down to the dojo ASAP!" she said before quickly shutting the phone down on me making me clench my phone while muttering underneath my breath irritably.
