"Ehhh it's so cold," Rin complained "not our fault if you want to blame someone you can blame Lancer for that," Shirou replied.
Rin looks on at Shirou and I in surprise "wait you guys fought him until you summoned Saber?" Rin questioned Shirou smiled wryly "well it was mostly William he-" I stopped him from talking any further "enough Shirou don't go revealing everything to Tohsaka we don't know if she can be trusted," I said.
"Oi William, you don't need to be so hostile," Shirou admonished "whatever I am going to head inside," I muttered under my breath turning on the lights I took off my shoes and sat down in front of the table before closing my eyes.
I let my mind recall the battles that I had seen tonight analyzing each and every movement that Lancer, Saber, and Rin's servant made I then opened my eyes when I saw Saber coming in her armor dismissed "if it's alright with you William I'd like to take a seat next to you and Shirou for protection," she said seriously.
I look at her green captivating eyes for a moment something about them seem to drag me in, but I stopped any thoughts that I might have had and then nodded "don't worry too much about me I can protect myself just fine if Tohsaka tries anything defend my brother first," I instructed. She bows her head "If that is what you desire," she replied taking a seat next to me.
Finally, the two came in with Shirou sitting on my right while Tohsaka sat across from me "ah I forgot to ask but do you want some tea or snacks?" Shirou offered Rin nodded "I'll take a cup of green tea if you have any," she requested Shirou nodded heading over to the kitchen while leaving us to our lonesome.
It was silent as the two of us silently stared at one another intently until she finally snapped with irritation "alright the hell are you staring at William you got a problem or something!" I clench my jaw tightly "nothing...just wondering if we can trust you after all you are a magus," I replied staring at her with my empty lifeless black eyes that had now gained a small glint in them.
She huffed replying "well I am not like ordinary mages," I narrow my eyes "yeah we'll see about that," I muttered as Shirou came back with tea for everyone.
Rin takes her cup gently take a few sips before placing it back down "alright down to business you both have no idea in what your caught up in?" she asked "obviously," I replied with a deadpan voice. Rin sighs ignoring my comment "to be blunt you two have been chosen to be masters surely you've noticed the stigmata that's appeared on your wrists," Shirou rose a brow in confusion.
"Stigmata?" he questioned "she means the command seals Shirou," Saber informed we both looked at our wrists "yes those seals prove that you're a master, but it seems your both somehow connected to Saber frankly it should be impossible," she said in a confused tone.
"let's not talk about what's impossible right now and focus on the matter at hand like how a long dead historical figure like Cu Chulainn is somehow alive," I said causing Rin's brows to twitch "if you would be patient for just a moment I'll get to that but for now let's talk about the command seals they are basically what controls your servant lose all three then you not only lose your servant but are also kicked out of the holy grail war there are even most cases where you'll be killed even if your no longer participating," she explained.
Shirou gasped "we'll be killed!" he said in shock Rin nods and then proceeds to explain everything about the holy grail war, heroic spirits, the throne of heroes, and enthusiastically informed us how her Archer servant was actually Satan I am calling bullshit on that by the way.
The information was quite a lot to process giving me quite the headache "I need a smoke I'll be back," I said needing something to relive the stress I was feeling.
"Oi William how many times have I told you not to smoke your lungs will-" Shirou tried to make me stop but I waved my hand "yeah yeah I get it bad for the lungs you get lung cancer," I replied nonchalantly ignoring anything he said heading outside the porch.
I took a seat reaching for the lighter and cigarette I quickly lit it up gently smoking it slowly I exhaled looking at the moon my mind flashes back to that night I looked down in thought if only you were here dad, you would know what do in a situation like this I thought mournfully.
"You know you really shouldn't be smoking young man," came the voice of Tohsaka's servant who was leaning against the wooden wall I raise a brow in response "yeah well shouldn't you be torturing the souls of the damn Satan," I quipped back sarcastically making the servant frown "I am not Satan..." he replied in a deadpan that also held a mix tone of annoyance.
"Hmmm don't know about that silver hair and eyes are one of Lucifer's prominent traits," I said tossing the cancer stick on the ground stomping on it I head back inside ignoring the servant's lingering gaze. When I came back inside I saw Saber in a yellow cloak and the other's dressed up "anyone want to explain what's happening now,"
Shirou pats my shoulder "Tohsaka will explain on the road so come on," he said "yeah give me a moment I got to get something," I replied heading outside to the shed. The others looked on wondering what I would need from the shed ignoring their gaze though I went inside to my hidden armory/workshop.
I took a slim utility belt and wrapped it around my waist clicking it into place on the back of the belt were five place holders for my grenades five representing each element made via runes, my calico fully loaded which I placed in my coat, the origin blade which I used against Lancer was shifted back into a combat knife placed inside my pocket, and finally my Contender preloaded with an origin bullet alongside ten extra bullets.
Mystic codes were useless against servants, but you know what they're really good at...killing mages I thought with a smirk placing the Contender in my left coat pocket.
Going backout I shout tossing a regular glock pistol infused with rune covered bullets, "Shirou catch!" to which he clumsily caught "oi w-what's the big idea don't throw a freaking gun at me like that what if it accidentally went off wait no the better question is why do you have a gun!" he shouted while glaring at me as though he just caught me doing something naughty.
"I'll tell you later for now let's go," I replied walking towards where Saber and Rin awaited then we on towards where the local church was according to Rin all masters are supposed to register for the war.
I noticed Saber taking a lot of not so subtle glances at me "is there something you would like to say Saber?" I asked wanting her to stop looking at me like that Saber shook her head "it's nothing William it's just that you remind me of someone with that appearance of yours that's all," she replied cooly.
The rest of the walk was in silence until we finally arrived at the church gates "Shirou, William I will be staying outside here at the gate waiting for you I have no wish to go inside," Saber informed Shirou glances at Rin and me.
My response was to just shrug walking ahead "why do you think Saber wanted to stay outside?" Shirou asked, "well she did say that she has been in this era before so maybe something happened between her and that fake priest," Rin replied huh good to know best to investigate later I thought as Rin swung the doors open.
"Oh, Kotomine I've bought fresh innocent lambs to be slaughtered!" Rin said in a sing along tone I put my hands into the pockets of my pants where my origin knife was just in case.
Kotomine placed his bible down speaking as we came inside "what have I told you about visiting unannounced in the middle of the night?" Rin crossed her arms "um Kotomine didn't you tell me that I count on you for anything when my Dad died?" she questioned.
Kotomine tilts his head to the side "um Rin that was ten years ago and maybe you should move on" he replied. Rin coughs clearing her voice "um Kotomine I wouldn't have to move on if someone did a better job of not letting my Dad get murdered," the man smiled in return saying, "um Rin perhaps your belief that I could stop a servant is a tad bit inflated and unfair,"
Rin closes her eyes in response her voice turning higher pitched "maybe the man who blew my entire family's fortune in church donations shouldn't talk to me about expectations!"
At this point I was getting even more irritated and finally said "if you're both done playing cat and mouse can we please move on to as why we're here," they both went silent with Kotomine staring at me intently.
"Hi, were co master's worried about dying," Shirou said casually "I'll kill them if nobody else does," Rin commented from behind I turned to look at her with a cold glare "you even think of doing that and you can kiss your sweet life as a magus goodbye...I guarantee it," I said in a serious tone making Tohsaka flinch back.
Kotomine chuckles "certainly that is both strange and unfortunate the Grail always pulls in stragglers to fill in the unassumed ranks last time it was a serial killer are you two serial killers?" He asked making Shirou flinch back "what no were just highschool students," he exclaimed with shock and disgust I didn't say anything keeping my gaze away from Shirou.
The priest seemed to have picked that up his smile widened for a moment, but he didn't say anything instead he continued like he didn't see my gaze avert itself from Shirou "that's much less interesting in any case I can offer you shelter and transfer your servant to another master but for the sake of bureaucracy may I take down your names so that you may both go down in history as the 'masters who quit before a single servant died',"
"I don't quite like the tone you're taking but it's William Emiya and that's my brother Shirou," I responded making Kotomine freeze up for a moment "No way~" Kotomine said drawling the word out prompting my suspiciousness of the man to grow higher "Emiya could you spell that?" he requested.
"E-M-I-Y-A" Shirou spelled out, but Kotomine asked again as if though he wanted to confirm something "oh God above, I have seen your wisdom and my faith is renewed," he muttered quickly under his breath "I am confused here what does our last name have to do with anything?" I asked only for him to change the topic his tone of voice much more enthusiastic "but about your wish William and Shirou Emiya," he said walking forward.
"Wish what wish?" we asked at the same time in synch making Kotomine chuckle while Rin nervously laughs "oh...you were unaware how unlike Rin to omit such useful information," he said causing Rin to reply "um Kirei I don't really appreciate your tone right now," but she was ignored.
"The winner of the holy grail war that is to say the last master standing with a servant standing may stand before the grail and claim any wish they each desire from the chalice," he explained making me furrow my brows.
"This is the first that I am hearing about it...any wish?" I questioned and the man reaffirmed with "any wish...even one that can grant you a world without evil," he added as an afterthought.
Shirou waves his arm "I don't care about that what I want to know is if we have to kill any of the masters?" he asked Kirei shook his head "no only the servants need to die in order to complete the grail...in fact just ten years ago the last victor of the grail war wished for great evil an evil that caused the great fire," he informed.
I felt my eyes slowly widen in shock if I looked at Shirou right now his face would be showing that of horror, I close my eyes banishing that memory of hell away from my mind "then we have a reason to fight!" I said out loud looking at Kirei's now glinted brown eyes.
-timeskip outside the church-
We slowly exited the church until Kirei called out "rejoice Shirou and William Emiya for your wishes will come true," Archer as I later learned was leaning against a statue on top of the church called out "you suck Kirei!" making Kirei question who it was that said that Rin replied, "don't harass the priest Satan,"
Surprisingly Kirei rolled with it "huh? Make's sense I suppose" he commented. The three of us then kept walking until we reached where Saber was pulling down her hood she asked, "have you both finally arrived at a conclusion,"
"Yeah, we've decided to continue fighting as a masters will you consent to us being your master Saber?" Shirou asked making Saber shake her head "my consent is irrelevant you have both been my master's since the start did, I not swear both my body and blade to you both?" she questioned.
"In that then...we'll be your masters were going to be counting on you Saber," I said extending my hand out for a professional handshake with Shirou doing the same.
She stared until she started smiling grabbing both of our hands one out of a time she then placed her hand on her chest "then allow me now to renew my vow to you both so long as there are command spells on your bodies then mine will be your blade,"
I nod and looked up at the sky if what that priest said was true about the last winner of the grail war then it means I have to win otherwise someone else with greedier intentions might repeat the same catastrophe and if we win the grail then...I can use it to make the world a better place I thought as we walked down the streets until Tohsaka abruptly paused.
"Alright gang this is where we split up," she said "eh you don't want to come home with us? We can have a big sleep over and plan how were going to win the war!" Shirou exclaimed.
Tohsaka turned facing us "hm that would make things difficult because you see once I am out of blast range, I plan to demolish you and everything 500ft of you both tactical nuke style having learned that my servant is an Archer and all," she explained crossing her arms.
"Surely your servant would not be fine with such underhand tactics," Saber said in a tone of calm anger Archer materialized at that moment "nope 100% on board with this should we kill the red head first? I am thinking he's the real threat here," he said.
At that precise moment though the sound of a gun being cocked was heard along with the shouts of Shirou and Saber respectively Archer stood in shock not being able to move.
"William what are you doing, put the gun down," Shirou shouted with panic, meanwhile Saber was clenching her hands together seeing my Contender pointed directly onto the forehead of Tohsaka who trembled she knew that if she so much as even moved then it was game over.
"Why are you all surprised by what I am doing Tohsaka just clearly stated that she's more than willing to kill us in order to win not to mention the threat she made about killing us back inside the church.
This is a war and if I remember correctly all is fair in the art of love and war had she decided to team up with us then I would not be attempting to take her life right now it's as simple as that," I explained.
"Even so Tohsaka still helped us out the least we could do is let her go before eliminating her servant instead we don't need to kill her William!" Shirou exclaimed his golden eyes glistening.
"I am sorry, but did you just miss the part where she threatened to nuke us without remorse so why on God's green forsaken earth would I still even consider sparing her Shirou?!" I exclaimed trying to make Shirou see reason.
"Because she's a good person I know that for sure! Otherwise, why else would she have attempted to save us before we even summoned Saber" Shirou explained making me hesitate my finger pauses from pushing the trigger.
But then sounds of a child laughing caught our attention it was the same one as before the one Shirou and I had encountered two days ago I thought and right beside her appeared a huge muscular man that could rival the hulk.
Reluctantly I put the contender down "alliance?" I asked making Tohsaka's eyes widen with anger "you really think you can ask for an alliance after a stunt like this Emiya! I think not" I frowned and said,"well it doesn't look like the servant besides the frighting little child will let you escape either,"
Rin pursued her lips "fine but only until after we have defeated the enemy servant and if you even so much as try to pull off that same stunt as you did earlier then be prepared because I won't be letting my guard down this time," she said.

So, several things to address like why Rin didn't just try to use her skill in Bajiquan to disarm William that's because he caught her off guard by directly holding her at gunpoint in her face with his finger ready to pull the trigger if not because of the protests of Shirou.
Why didn't Archer do anything? That's also because of the fact that by the time he move's William would have pressed the trigger not to mention Saber would have blocked any attacks Archer might have made with his bow.
Now you might be also wondering bro what the hell are you doing? Saber's not going to like William at all if he keeps up with that Kiritsugu like personality. The answer is simple I am going to start the romance off as the two being in conflict with one another before it then goes into a slow romance build up. It gets even better considering the scenarios and scenes that are running through my head at this moment since I binged watched the Saber Route.
Some might also be wondering as to why I am using UBWA lines instead of what the characters were originally supposed to say and to simply put it I just feel like project mouthwashes lines really fits with certain scenes.
