"Garth!... Wake up, it's late."
He stirred for a moment as he tried to get some more sleep, but a sudden banging on the door caused him to abandon any notion of returning to slumber.
"Ah, this is not right, I was having a good dream," Garth grumbled as he got out of bed just as the banging on the door resumed.
Apart from his bed, a mirror at the side, and a makeshift wardrobe, his room was largely empty and pretty small, with enough room for two people to stand in.
There was a window above the area where the pillows were placed but since Garth had dropped down the curtain, which was just grass tied together, not much sunlight got into the room.
Reaching out, he grabbed the doorknob and opened it.
On the other side, a woman dressed in a brown dress with a scarf on her head stood with her arms on her waist and a basket in her right hand.
