Ionia paused in her steps. "Do you think I'm wrong to do so?"
"He is a human. Linking with him… could affect your status as the daughter of the Radiant Moon." Corym remarked.
Ionia turned back. "But if I don't, sooner or later, 'he' would break free from his prison, and then… there would be no way to stop him."
"My lady…" Corym couldn't continue as he knew whom Ionia was referring to.
Ionia flashed a weak smile. "Mother sacrificed herself to seal him away. I can't let her sacrifice be in vain."
"But even then, Priestess… Maybe it's time we figured out other means."
"You and I both know that isn't possible. Just like back then… he will attempt to destroy us all once again. As the Priestess, I have to ensure that he doesn't have his way."
