Max furrowed his brows. "3 tests?"
"Yes," Ionia replied. "You will be subjected to punishments of my choosing. If you manage to pass all three tests, then I will consider granting your request. But if you fail to complete them… your life is forfeit."
"This…" Max was taken aback.
"Now tell me." Ionia took a step forward. Are you daring enough to accept my offer?"
Max bit his lower lip. "Do you promise to live up to your side of the deal if I pass the tests?"
"Of course. Unlike you humans, we Elves are true to our words."
"Fine then. I accept. Go ahead and tell me what I need to do." Max replied without hesitation.
The longer he spent here, the more time would pass back in Midgard.
He didn't want to waste too much time here.
Ionia narrowed her gaze. "Are you sure?"
"Absolutely."
"…I see." Ionia was slightly surprised by Max's determination despite the odds being against him.
It was a simple task to give him something impossible to achieve but she decided against it.
