It started with Convergence and Divergence.
One caused space to curve inwardly toward a determined center and the other curved space outwardly toward a determined center.
Both worked for hand in hand and were thus considered one technique.
For Max, when he was enlightened, they had come up as support skills.
Only capable of helping him throw a punch better or dodge an attack faster.
He never thought about using the concept of space curving to attack.
It didn't sound possible at that time.
More like it was largely ineffective.
But then the battle with Sandman caused him to think again.
Instead of focusing on using just Convergence or Divergence, why not use both in sync?
Cause both forces collide at the center.
He didn't expect much but considering the concept of opposite forces repelling each other, he held out hope for a good result.
Thankfully, it worked like a charm, and Inversion was created.
