Max felt his heart tense up as he tightened his grip on Ella's tiny hand.
He seemed panicked as he glanced around, looking for something.
Ella noticed his restless state as she glanced at him.
"Papa." She whispered before squeezing her hand that was in his grasp.
Suddenly a green glow passed from her hand and into Max's body.
The next moment, Max calmed down and the tension he felt went away like a lie.
He took a deep breath with his eyes closed before opening them again.
"Sorry bout that, Ella," Max said with a weak smile. "I try, I'm trying my best but for some reason… I let my emotions get the nether of me these days. I can't control them, especially the negatives. Hah, what do you think I should do?"
He glanced at her only to be met with a confused expression on Ella's face as she muttered. "Papa."
Max chuckled as he turned away. "That's right, how could I expect you to answer such a question."
He shook his head at how ridiculous he acted just now.
