Pale skin, heavy breathing, unfocused eyes, and trembling from time to time… Laura was not in the best state as she lay on the cold floor with her head facing upward.
She tried to calm her breathing but it was of no use.
It seemed like she had just experienced a terror that would scar her for a lifetime.
"How are you feeling?" Khanna asked through their bond.
Laura tried to open her mouth but found herself unable to say a word.
Sighing helplessly, she opted for mental communication.
"I feel like I just died and woke up."
Khanna chuckled. "It's understandable to feel that way. After all, that's the essence of the Death attribute."
"Death attribute… I couldn't breathe when I met her eyes. I thought I was going to die."
"You were lucky. People on a lower level would have died just by making eye contact. Korra somehow managed to affix the Death attribute into her eyes."
Laura swallowed. "You said it's not her original attribute, yeah?"
