"You miss him right?" Max asked as he placed his palm over Ella's head.
It felt a little soft and her delicate scent wafted into his nostril, calming his nerves.
Ella hugged herself as she met Max's inquiring gaze. For a few seconds, she didn't say anything.
The room turned silent and only the occasional sounds of crickets permeated the surrounding.
Suddenly, Ella stepped forward and hugged Max.
Max felt his shirt wet as Ella trembled from time to time, a clear sign that the mad girl was able to keep track of what was going on.
Mac felt his heart ache.
He pushed her back before picking her up and placing her on his lap.
"It must have been a while since you saw a beautiful night right?... So tell me, what do you think?" he said while pointing out the window.
Ella blinked several times before turning in the direction he pointed in.
The moon stood proudly at the center of the sky and its subordinates, the stars twinkled about, making for a rather surreal sight.
