Max whipped his neck to the side to find Regard resting on a tree a few meters away from him.
"Glad to see you are awake." Regard said with a smile.
Max was left speechless for a few seconds before he blurted out. "Master?"
"Hehe, you don't seem happy to see me." Regard teased.
Max shook his head. "Not at all. It's just… how come you are here?"
"Long story."
"…What happened?... How am I here?... What happened to Parsley?... What about Cedric and… Laura. What about them?" Max seemed a bit panicked as he waited for a response.
Regard gestured with his palm. "Calm yourself. Remember my teachings… getting agitated doesn't solve problems, it only intensifies them."
Max wanted to speak but held his tongue before finally pulling back.
Taking a deep breath, he regained his composure.
