Cain heaved as he appeared not too far from Parsley walls. He had made use of Cheat Death, utilizing a Specter he had positioned outside the city in case of any emergencies.
"That was close." Regard's presence had made it clear to Cain that his plan to corrupt Max and use him to collide the two worlds was the right choice.
He was strong but wasn't stupid enough to think that he could win with his strength.
All it took was a single glance to tell that Regard would destroy him if they were to clash.
As a minor Servant, his only option was to run.
Unfortunately, this meant abandoning his plans. Of course, surviving meant another opportunity.
He could only hope that yet another being on par with the one within Max would show up, or else he would have to slowly bid his time, cultivating long enough to gain the favor of his lord.
Once he gained enough power, with enough death and destruction, the requirements to destroy the illusory mirror would be taken down a notch.
