"So you fell in love with Nadia to get rid of the negative emotions that plagued you?" Max asked.
Cedric pursed his lips. "I don't know anymore if it was love. But I know that her presence made things easier for me, albeit slightly."
Max sighed as he fell into deep thought. After Cedric narrated the whole story to him, Max more or less understood the reason for the awkwardness between them.
He wondered if it was right.
To use a woman as a means to forget the troubles he had to face every day, Cedric at some point inadvertently fell in love with her.
Max thought it forceful. It wasn't natural and the fact that Nadia seemed to confirm it caused him to come up with a conjecture.
"Do you think Nadia fell in love with you?... Or at least, did she know what you were doing?" Max asked.
