"Tara, there has to be another way," Laura remarked, unable to stand the fact that yet another member of their group was about to bite the dust.
Tara suppressed her pain as she replied. "It doesn't matter. We don't have the time to start figuring it out and I'm sure Max's Doppelganger follows certain rules."
"You can't just expect us to leave you behind like this!"
Tara flashed a weak smile. "When I first met you, I didn't think we'd be in such a situation. Thanks for caring about my well-being but my mind is made up. No one is waiting for me back home and I've already cut ties with the Princess. If anything, I can be of use just one last time."
"… You are a human being. Don't see yourself as less." Laura bit down on her lower lip. It was clear that she couldn't change Tara's mind and clearly, time was running out for them.
"Inform the others. I'll begin the sacrifice." Tara said as she moved to where the hole in the podium was with Elena moving out of the way.
