The heatwave from Cedric suddenly lit up, gaining a fiery orange color that rose like a pillar of flames.
It caught everyone by surprise and for a moment, they thought it was an attack from the mass of red flesh.
Fortunately, they were wrong.
Instead of devouring them, the pillar of flames bathed them in a heat that burnt away all impurities, including the tentacles that bound them.
On the other hand, several incomprehensible sounds were heard as the tentacles were rapidly incinerated, leaving nothing but ash.
All it took was a few seconds to free Max and the others but it didn't end there as the pillar continued to spread, like a cleansing curtain, burning away the red flesh to reveal the rock within.
But this only made things worse as the rock shook with a fervor.
Just as Max and co. Were preparing for whatever was coming, Cedric's voice was heard.
"You guys can rest now."
