The relationship between a Summoner and their summon was a delicate affair, one assured through the bond that existed within them.
It was a known fact that once a contract was made, there would be a qualitative leap in the amount of Magic within a person's body.
Of course, this was reliant on the level of the Magical being contracted with.
More than that though, the Magician would find that their Magic would come to resemble the aura of their contracted creature.
For example, Cedric's Magic was a fiery hot mess, reminiscent of Ifrit, his contracted summon.
It should be noted though that in a situation whereby a person has more than one contracted creature, then they would need to find a balance to ensure that they don't receive a backlash from the clashing auras within their Magic.
In any case, this meant that the connection wasn't just about finding a person to improve their combat strength.
