Creak
The gates slowly opened as Richard pushed on them. His eyes gleamed with the hope that finally, he would be able to see his lover again.
"It has been so long, my love." He muttered under his breath. "I wonder if you have missed me for I have missed you a lot."
Just then, Elena called out to him. "Richard."
Richard turned to face her, shaking his head with a pitiful expression on his face. "Poor child. Understandably, you would fall in love with a god… but haven't you heard?... Humans only have one use and that is to fulfill the desires of god."
He dropped down to the ground and gestured for Elena to approach, taking hold of her hand as he led her to the opened gates.
Tanya and the guards moved forward with Conan finally feeling skeptical about the whole matter.
He began to question why he had followed them for so long?... Normally his sense would have informed him of danger but it seemed like for a brief amount of time… his senses dulled.
"What happened?"
