Present time…
Two sides faced off against each other. Darwin stood alongside Max, Cedric, and Laura on one side, and on the other side, Richard stood alongside, Elena, Tanya, Conan, and the rest of Elena's guard.
They seemed to be sizing up each other as silence reigned momentarily, though it was more like they were trying to figure out what just happened.
"Is he the reason for the landscape changing in Nazarene?" Max thought of that possibility. After all, Darwin had just shifted the landscape of Nazarene.
It was a feat he couldn't understand no matter how much he thought about it.
In any case, that wasn't important at the moment.
What was important though was how to take care of Elena and the others.
As though reading his thoughts, Elena spoke up. "Nice to see you guys again."
Laura sneered. "I'm sure you didn't expect us to still be alive."
"I won't lie. You are indeed correct." Elena said, nodding her head as she did so.
