Clara pondered on it as they made their way to the destination marked out on the map.
Was there a need to doubt that Elena had good intentions for them?

She could still remember how she was before Elena saved her from the slums and placed her into a respectable profession as a royal guard.
Just like her mother that was treated kindly by Elena's mother, she reciprocated the same favor.
Not once did she make her feel like a commoner. Instead, she treated every single member of her guard as family.
As blood relatives that would always stand together.
So why would she put them in danger now?

It was just his delusions.
For some reason, he felt like the princess was targeting him, which was completely ridiculous to Clara.
The Princess saw him as a pawn, but even a pawn would be useful and it's not like she planned to kill him.
