"Explain yourself this instant, Princess!" Max remarked as his fighting spirit exploded.
Elena frowned but kept her cool. "I apologize for what happened. It won't repeat itself."
With her calm response, Max was left at a loss as to how to respond.
After a few seconds of silence with both individuals exchanging looks, he sighed as he pulled back his aura.
"It's fine, I guess."
Tanya rushed up to Elena, grabbing her everywhere as she asked in quick succession. "Are you okay?... Did something happen?... What caused the explosion?... I was so worried."
"Calm yourself, Tanya. It was just a minor ambush." Elena remarked with a smile.
Just then, Cedric chipped in. "Ambush?"
"Mn, the alabaster eagle sculpture turned out to be a golem as well. Thankfully it was not that strong so we took care of it."
"Oh, I see."
Elena quickly changed topics. "What about on your end?... Are we clear to go?"
