Silence permeated the outskirts causing the footsteps of the party to echo about like unwanted guests.
In any case, apart from serving as a reason for the party members to keep their guard up, it didn't slow down their approach as they hurriedly made their way to the first hurdle in their path.
Soon enough, they got to what could be called the center of the outskirts.
There, a large fountain was placed in the center with a sculpture of an eagle placed at the center.
The fountain as well as the eagle sculpture seemed to be made out of alabaster, due to the white sheen that bounced off the sunlight reflected on it.
Not too far away now, the passage leading to the Middle section was waiting for them.
Just then, Laura spoke up. "It's kind of weird though." she seemed to be thinking aloud.
