As the fighting got to a peak, Elena remained amid her guards, contemplating the situation they were in.
Even though she seemed calm, inwardly she was worried.
On the surface, it was easy to tell that their attackers were part of the rebel faction making trouble in the Empire and their reason for attacking was even easier as her title alone was enough to cause havoc no matter where she went.
But was that the case?
Elena didn't think so. For some reason, she kept feeling like there was something more to it than their unusual attack was letting on.
What's more, they happened to attack at a time when Tanya and Max, her two greatest weapons were unavailable.
"They were watching us." It was easy to pick that up.
But then it brought up the question; for how long?
If it were since they left Tudor County then that would mean that the situation was more than what she could imagine.
In any case, there was no need to ponder so much with very little information to go on.
