"So I've been unconscious in this hospital for a month?" Max asked incredulously.
Lara nodded. "Mn, I was really worried you wouldn't wake up."
"I'm sorry for making you worry." Max gripped her palm and squeezed it a little as both individuals stared at each other lovingly.
Just then, the door to his room flew open as a familiar face rushed toward him. "Max!"
It was Laura.
Before he could respond, she had already leaped on him, causing him to groan once again as he wondered if the two women in his life were oblivious to the fact that he was still recovering.
Realizing her bold action, Laura took a step back while avoiding Max's gaze which somehow caused her to blush.
It was uncomfortable.
"Nice to see you too." Max teased.
Behind Laura, Lloyd walked in with a cheerful expression on his easygoing face. "Haha, glad to see you are finally awake."
"Thank you for taking care of my mother in my stead," Max said with a slight bow.
Lloyd waved it away. "Not a problem."
