The forest area was damaged beyond recognition with only 10 percent of its initial structure left after the explosive battle Max had with Sandman.
"It would take quite some time for the forest to heal," Max muttered as he surveyed the surrounding area as far as his eyes could see.
Both himself and Garth lay in a large crater that spanned almost half the size of a football field and was almost 18 feet deep.
"I've got a question." Max followed up with Garth turning to face him.
"How did it happen?"
Garth put up a brow. "What are you talking about?"
"I'm talking about Sandman. How did a dimensional being manage to fool the laws of Midgard to not only appear in our world but also utilize all her abilities without restrictions?"
"Oh that… I think it has something to do with the orb."
"The orb she was using to siphon life force?"
"Mn, I'm not sure about the details but I do know that the orb was an integral part of that," Garth explained.
