It was Grandfather Sylvester remembrance day, as the house was filled with family, friends and well wishers. the hall they'd rented and decorated was looking richly endowed with flowers, each tables has its menu for people to order for what they want. While the family had their tables at the front rows and the friends and other people behind, there were loud cheering and jeering, happiness surrounds the environment.
The MC waved to the the instrumentalist to keep it low and spoke into the mic "A round of applause as we welcome Grandma Sylvia Sylvester to the podium to give us a speech" everyone clapped as Uncle Connor helped his mother to the stage.
"Thank you, all of you seated here today, for honoring my invitation and honoring my husband , to be frank, I didn't expect this hall to be full as it is now but I'm glad" Grandma Sylvia sighed. "Years ago, fifty years ago I met my husband Gerald Sylvester, we were attending the same university and we took an instant liking for ourselves. this is a story I've said countless times and will never get tired of telling about, three years of courtship, we got married and had Connor, my first fruit , following three years we had Daniel and Madelyn is my last child and only daughter, thank you Jesus for these beautiful children and grandchildren you've given to me, my husband was a good man as we know, he volunteered in community service, goes to church pays his tithes, had no enemy but took friends as family and he loved his children and grandchildren but tragedy struck when he was diagnosed with cancer" Grandma Sylvia cried. Her children rushed to her side and petted her.
"I miss him everyday, all my life I've tried to not feel lonely but there's this emptiness from within and every time it gets close to the day he died, it pierced my soul, it something I never really moved on from, but one thing I do know is that wherever he is he wants me to be happy and I try everyday to be happy for his sake, I know he loved me and I will forever love him, I hope someday we will meet at the better place where he is"

The party ended and everyone had returned back home to rest. The grandchildren gathered in Amy's room reliving the childhood memories they've had except for Derrick and Harry who had gone out with some friends to only God knows where according to how Kendra had said to Uncle Connor.
"I can't wait to go back to Beverly Hills" Mai rolled her eyes and clicked her tongue.
"You don't like it here?" Rhoda asked
"Not really, Its not matching my taste?" Mai answered
"And whats your taste?" Amy asked sitting up
Mai scoffs "I'm not telling"
"Just because Grandma's house isn't as big as your house and your parents gives you whatever you want doesn't mean you should downgrade this place"
"I didn't say anything, thats why I don't wanna talk cause y'all mentality is too poor to understand the rich lifestyle"
Rhoda snorts "Your parents isn't even as rich as my parents still we don't look down on people"
"We don't clean our hands when clean people touch us" Joshua said and hissed
"We don't say we can't hug you cause we don't wanna be infected with germs" Amy mimicked the twins voice
"neither do we say this is too cheap, its fake" Kendra said pursing her lips
May chuckled nervously "No you don't get it"
"Its you who don't get it" Amy shifted and folded her legs.
"What is we don't get, we were properly brought up" May breathed out
"your whole attitudes is wrong, you don't have to act like you own the world, the fact that you have now doesn't mean you will still have it in future" Kendra said "Just don't overdo things sometimes and stop looking down on people" She added.
"To be honest with your guys, your rubbish attitudes is the reason we don't like you girls" Amy said, there she said it, feeling accomplished wit herself.
"Harry is way better than you both,, he's so humble and loving and he gives off a positive vibes" Joshua said as a matter of fact.
"We're sorry we gave off a negative vibes, we will just leave you guys be" Mai said and held her twin sister's hand as they left Amy's room.
"I think you guys were harsh with your words" Rhoda folded her arms
"they'd come to know the truth eventually which is better, its saves us the stress of pretending to...." he gesticulates "borrow me the word" he hissed
"to like them and accept their presence" Kendra finished for him.
"not like we don't love them, we do" Amy's scoffs "their characters are just nothing to write home about"
Kendra scratched the back of her hair " coming from somebody who spends half of the day getting cranky"
"Shut up, I'm working on it , I have crazy mood swing" Amy shouted in her face.
"I knew you'd blame the poor mood swing" Kendra retorts
"Get out of my room" Amy pointed to the door
"Say please bitch?" Kendra stuck her tongue out
"Silly" She laughed. they waited for Joshua and Rhoda to leave the room before jumping on Adams as the new topic.
"You didn't tell em how it went"
Kendra smiled " he asked me out" they both squealed and hug themselves.
"So tell me what's he like?" Amy grinned wide.
Kendra shrugged her shoulders "hmm, we're still getting to know each other but from what I see, he's a cool guy and he's goofy, we haven't really talk to the extent of him telling me about his family, but sure I'd ask him"
"Yeah you should babes" Amy smiled
"Look who's calling?" Kendra eye's widen as she smile hard and turn her screen to Amy.
"pick it up and leave it on speaker, I'm so hearing this conversation" Amy sits up and cross her legs together.
