Chapter 48 - Smargadi

Paintings capture people, feelings and desires, but stories like Portrait of a Girl on Fire, or Gypsies, Below her Mouth, Thelma, A Perfect Ending, Kontrola, Motherland, Nune, Cat Skin , Dickinson, A Girl King or the story of Queen Cristina of Sweden, Queen Victoria, Shakespeare In Love, The Green Mile, The Pursuit of Happiness, What's Her Name, Dracula, Citrus, Bloom Into You, Cleopatra, One Night with the King or the story of Esther and more are series of movies that I have watched. Ever since I was a little girl I have loved watching films old and new, weird and scary, grotesque, artistic or redefining new heights of ideas, thoughts and knowledge. It's weird and I was always seen as shy, quiet and strange. I am talkative but people see me as a snob or proud. Actually, I am confident of myself, whatever I have accomplished, my defeats and wins in life, my hurts, sorrows and loves of my heart. I knew all along that I am different from anybody else and that I would make something phenomenal with the love of my life Alexa. I was afraid then that my schoolmates, my family or my friends wouldn't accept the true me but when I had my surgery and total transformation, I am still Jodie but that part of me who is a woman died a long time ago when I was caught in the California fire during my show at a local bar there. My manager and some of my fans lost their lives, that losing my identity wasn't was one of the things that I lose along with Alexa and her love since I needed to play the role of Gin and needed to be a man instead of a protagonist heroine. Our love story is like a painting and a novel, full of life and never ending.

The movies I have seen have women in them that didn't need to be a man to become a hero. The hero in their own right, their own love story and their own destiny. Some films have men as main characters and they portrayed their roles well but women has exceptional gift to tempt and play with our imaginations. They exude fire, desire and sex in the most romantic and sensual way they can to achieve the ultimate goal that is, captivate our hearts to fall in love and still continue loving even if there's pain or absence involved. Serendipity and meeting one's soul mate makes stories more interesting and exciting to cater to. I just love women, their beauty and their passion to fight for what they feel and believe in like having an abortion which was not allowed during the earlier centuries but still can take out a baby in a girl's womb even in it's 12 weeks of pregnancy. Yet now, abortion plays an valuable role in the lives of women in the year 2000 and the current years when abortion was a law a girl can hang on to when she needs help since raped or sexually harassed. Before abortion in the States was implemented and given the highest regard for women to even in full term of pregnancy. A mother has a right to decide for her own body or be the only one who decide to put her baby's life into her hands. Here we make a decision to either agree to an abortion when we needed to and disregard the law when it favors us and only us.

But I don't believe in abortions. I believe that women are responsible beings that sometimes lose sight of the situation and resort to deadly operations/processes to rid of something or someone they couldn't think of anything else to do but to resort what's in front of them, or their easy way out, or so they thought.

Santorini is a magnificent place that I never thought Alexa and I would visit several years of not being able to travel since we had kids and all. Greece is a one place I didn't plan to go to. Nate just advised me to check it out since one of their clients in their apparel business in New York and California suggested it to him. He didn't mention who he chatted with but the woman advised him to visit Oia and since it's a volcanic island it's very famous for its breathtaking views. The sunsets and the residents who are naturally hospital. It is expensive to live in Santorini and as a tourist it would certainly be pricey. Though I can afford to pay for the most expensive hotel here Nate suggested one in particular, a hotel with a name Smaragdi and it's in Perivolos Beach. The hotel rooms have a Cycladic style which is the traditional architecture of the Greeks in Santorini. Wow, when I saw the place and stepped inside one of the deluxe rooms it is truly a paradise on earth. Well there are places as beautiful in the states as here but the ambiance and the feel is transient.

Villa Smaragdi Red has a garden and pool that is very close to Ai Giannis Beach. I wanted a place where Alexa and I could have an alone time together and this is the perfect place. Alexa showered first and I just helped myself with the red wine available at the kitchen counter in the room we rented. Euro is more expensive than a dollar but the currency is no longer important when you find a place where the beauty is speechless. I kind of feel like this is our second honeymoon and I know our anniversary is just around the corner, like January, but I would make this a special week for both of us. I missed her so much and getting sick for a while made me realize how much my wife sacrificed for me and the kids. And she deserve this vacation. So I called the reception area of the villa and told her that I will pay for bouquets of roses for the whole week and the one dozen of roses should have different colors per day. Then the food should all be exquisite and there should also be wine and champagne every time. Though I can't drink too much, just a sip is enough, to make my baby happy is the best medicine and happiness for me.
