It had been but a few moments of his trip to get back to the college when someone accidentally bumped into him. A large lizardfolk man whom quickly bowed, "I apologize Lord! Didn't mean to offend!" Samuel waved it off, "No no, no need to apologize I should have been more careful!"
While Samuel said that he was gauging the Lizard Man, he was quite bulky other than being a more dry moss kind of green, but the fact was that Samuel did not even detect him before bumping into him.
He seemed to be quite light on his feet and knew how to blend in. The Lizardman turned around without further incident and on his back was a mark of the sun, like that of The Temple of Karma The Sun Goddess.
"It was clearly that mans fault master! He obviously didn't see you, why should you apologize?" The voice came from an extremely tall half orc that was following the lizardman.
"Enough Yalak, I was blending in my presence with the environment on purpose. In fact I am more surprised about the fact that I couldn't detect that young mans presence, so it is only my fault." The lizard man held up a hand as he dismissed his apprentice.
Samuel got excited for a little bit, that old lizard monk was no pushover. The apprentice also looked quite capable. "Sun Temple of Karma huh..." He looked in the direction of the big yellow sun dotting the sky.
The three moons were also partially visible, once again he was reminded of the blessing of moons, he probably wouldn't have been able to hear the two speak between eachother if it wasn't for his heightened senses.
His stroll continued relatively calm, the only disturbance was the small cohort of Paladins marching through one of the main streets with many onlookers.
Paladins of Heln, The Brassfist Order of Rejuan. They first and foremost served the people, as their God Heln was dubbed the Forever Watcher. Always said to keep a vigil eye out for threats, so the Paladins did as well. Taking care of monsters and bandits alike.
Samuel didn't care too much but he did see someone he recognized, he had seen very few with pink hair, but there she was. The same young woman paladin in training that had come to help save the village during his first mission. Kin'Hara... He remembered her name after a few moments.
She was following... Gideon! The Head Commander of the Brassfist Order. If he was here in the capital it had to be some serious business especially with the amount of paladins he had brought. As curious as he was, it really didn't involve him yet.
Before he even knew it, Samuel had already reached the teleport station and been teleported home to the College halls of teleportation. After passing some of the security ordeals he was back once more.
Looking at the white brick marble roads and buildings of all kinds of architecture it felt nostalgic even if he had only been away for a few days. But he wasn't alone as his companions stood by his side.
"Learn how to structure magic and draw your own circles and create!" The professor spoke to the class that were interestingly watching, except for Samuel who was looking but didn't really pay attention. A lesson on how the basis for creating magic of your own works.
It wasn't really something he needed. So he decided to read more in his head, whatever information he could. He had already passed all of his specialization classes, each teacher had given him a pass. Which gave him more free time until the end of the year.
But he had to balance out his time with training himself, reading and learning and then making regular visits to home. Alsian had been adamant about continuing their training and kept pushing him to the limit.
When he finally got a free day off he instantly took off to the Rockgarden forest to a particular place hidden deep inside rocky crags and a valley of earth. "I hope I am not disturbing anything!" He yelled when he entered the huge cave.
"No worries! However mother isn't here right now... Just me right now!" A loud voice replied and out of the darker parts of the cavern came a smaller earth dragon. Being a small dragon though it was still almost ten times his size.
"When will she or your other siblings be back?" Samuel asked curiosly as he sat down on a nearby rock. The dragon walked closer and tilted its head, "Probably a few days...? Maybe a week?"
"Oh... Thats a shame I can't quite stay that long, I need to return by the evening. So I might as well leave you to it!" Samuel gave the dragon a smile and started getting up.
"Woah woah woah! I am really bored and lonely, can't you play a bit with me?" The dragon quickly walked in front of him, blocking the exit. Samuel looked at the dragon again, "Say you are a bit too old to be from her current children right?"
The dragon laid down in front of him and lowered its head to the same height as his. "That's right, I am just here visiting, the names Terur!" She quickly stated happily.
"Well it's nice to meet you Terur, my name is Samuel... I suppose I could play with you for a bit seeing as how you are alone here!" He was hesitant but wondered what the worst was that could happen.
"What kind of game did you have in mind?" He asked and she instantly jumped up super happy and started bouncing around a bit. "Haha! In that case I have a certain game in mind... I often see human males and females wrestling on a bed and I would like to try it!"
"I just don't see what kind of game it is they are playing..."
Samuel went from a smile to an oh. "About that, it's not really a play... Its more of a, making a child kind of activity, so it's not really something I could help you with..." He nervously scratched his head.
"Ah I see, that makes more sense..." Slowly as if rocks were folding there was no longer any dragon, but a short human looking woman with scale like light brown skin and two large protruding horns from her head, black hair and two yellow eyes. She gave him a smile.
"I would like to try it anyway!" She said while slowly walking closer completely naked.
Samuel slowly started backing away and held up his hands. "Sorry but as entertaining and beautiful you are, I made a promise to have no more accidental children, and besides you look a bit too young for me!"
Terur stopped when he said that, with a big blush on her face. Slightly hiding her mouth she giggled, "You don't know a lot about us Earth Dragons do you?" She took a few steps closer and took his hands.
"We earth dragons lay eggs, only during certain periods over the years can we actually get kids, I am a little bit too young for that yes... But If I was to convert my age as a dragon into that of a human..."
"I would be roughly 22 years of age!" She giggled again, "Which means that there should be no problem right...!" Samuel felt a bit pressured and suddenly she stepped into his arms and made him touch her scaled skin.
"Come on, I promise to not tell anyone, I really want to try it..." Samuel was about to step away and thank her for the offer when she brought his hands to her chest and tiptoed to give him a kiss.
Late in the evening Samuel felt very embarrased as he finally returned to the college, but at the same time he didn't feel like he technically broke any promises.
He realized he would haveto go back and talk to Terrestia another time at a future date. "You dumbass!" Shakkai snorted the moment they got into their house. "Stop letting your hormones control you!" She sighed.
"Yeah no thats a good point..." Samuel agreed with a sigh.
"You need to find yourself a permanent woman, and oh boy am I glad that the Shadow Storage has advanced so far, I can literally turn off the outside view and ignore whatever stupidity you are doing." Shakkai finally started jumping around the floor in her tiny draconic form.
Samuel grew quiet when she said those words and Shakkai turned around, "Oh.. I am sorry Samuel, I didn't mean anything by it! At this point I see you as my partner in crime, but more than anything you are like a brother to me... I just want you to be happy."
Samuel walked over to her and gave her a hug. "At least I am not the one bound to someone, having lost all memory and self. I want you to be given some freedom too, because I can at least walk where I want when I want."
"Do you think we both will get a happy ending? Like in the fairy tales." She mumbled, but there was a deep trace of sadness in her voice.
Samuel gave her a smile and by now the events of the day seemed like a distant past. "What I think... Is that we haveto work hard to give ourselves that, I would rather not put faith into destiny or fate alone, but work my ass off to make it a reality instead."
