Ulma had fallen asleep quite peacefully to say the least, the last thing she remembered was herself falling asleep in the bathtub. Next thing she knew she woke up with the first light peeking over the horizon and finding itself in between the cracks of the blinds covering the window, just barely grazing her face it was enough for her to wake up.
A bit confused she started to slowly look around, not really knowin where she was but she saw the familliar sight of Samuel's room, and turned around ever so slowly and seeing Samuels peaceful expression as he was fast asleep head on the pillow. Ulma couldn't help but let a little smile grace her lips as she slowly remembered being woken up and strong arms around her before she hit a bed all dried up.
"You are just a big cuddly bear..." She whispered and gently lay a hand on his face making his eyebrow twitch slightly before calming down again. Ulma sighed and felt like she had slept for a whole day straight and couldn't help but stretch. One of those amazing stretches that feel really good and the whole body just tingles.
She finished it with a satisfied moan and felt her body slump back into the bed as she lay on her back. "My fathers name is... Xelavin Askara, Elf King of Tinahsea. My mothers name is Tylassa Bel, Arch Druid of the covenant of life...." Ulma whispered and slowly sat up with a shocked expression, she could remember their names! She could remember everyones names!
Her breathing got to the point of hyperventlilating and she started shaking slightly, every memory no longer clouded by anything, a small burn on her new tattoo. She realized her own mother had a simillar tattoo, one gifted to her when she joined the druid circle. Or so she had said, but they were made by other druids, Ulma's tattoo had manifested on its own. 'Why?'
"It must all be connected..." She shook her head, not really knowing where to begin when she felt Samuel grabbing her hand, she turned her head and saw that he was still asleep. But just his mere touch reminded her of his presence and she started calming down and the burn slowly faded.
"Thank you!" She whispered and planted a kiss on his forehead, powerful enough to slowly wake him up. "Good morning!" She had her usual gentle smile on her face as she whispered to him. "Already morning huh... just five minutes longer!" He replied in a tired hoarse voice. "Nope, no more! Time to wake up." Her smile turned adamant.
"Come on!" She stood up from her bed and started pulling his arm and he just groaned. Not quite eager to get up from bed, he somehow managed to eventually pull himself out with some help. "You seem to be in quite a good mood today! Had good dreams?" He asked once seated on the edge of the bed and yawned, trying to shake himself awake.
"Not really." She replied, "Just happy to be here with you! I also remembered a few more things from my past that had remained muddy in my memories so far." She kept pulling at his arms while speaking. Eventually managing to pull him up on his legs, the first thing they did was to find eachother in an embrace.
"Good Morning!" Samuel finally said now fully awake. "Care to put on some clothes my Queen?" Samuel said with a wide smile which made Ulma blush as she finally realized. But the blush quickly disappeared, they had seen eachother naked enough times already. She shook her head and sighed. "I could, if you want me too!" She chuckled and let go of him to get dressed in some clothes.
Samuel went to get refreshed with a wink, he quickly cleaned himself and his hair and walked back and forth as he got dressed in his academy clothes. Ulma had left the room after getting dressed, but not before suddenly smacking Samuel on his ass, which made him yelp in surprise and she left the room laughing while holding her tummy.
When Samuel joined downstairs everyone else was awake already and Ulma seemed to have told the others what she did as they all couldn't help but laugh as he came down the stairs. He just gave them a cold suspicious stare, sighing once more he quickly got some breakfast sandwiches prepared and sat down with the rest of them.
Joining them in their morning conversation about what they had done during their specializations last night. "I can't believe you actually made it to all of your specializations!" Erica pointed her fork at Samuel when he explained what he had done, Samuel shrugged. "I was prepared for working hard, and so thats what I will be doing!"
When he said that all three women sighed at the same time. "What?" He asked slightly annoyed. But all of them got up from their chairs and packed their things, preparing to leave the building. "WHAT?" He asked again as they were all exiting the door. When the door shut he slumped down again, wondering what it was all about.
"Typical Women!" A voice suddenly spoke inside his mind almost like a whisper which made Samuel fall off his chair and quickly get on his feet grabbing his sword. "Who's there!?" He asked while scouting his surroundings that were unchanged.
"Just your Night master!" The whisper returned after a while. "My... Night..?" He slowly repeated out loud as he started to relax while still scanning the room. Eventually it clicked. "My Night Mare!" He suddenly yelled out.
"You! You're the one that helped me during that nightmare... place." Samuel remembered the Black Shadow Mare that had come running to help him during that nightmare last year. "Well, Yes... but it wasn't a dream! It was the shadowland... a place of utter dark, a realm on the verge of the mortal realm, both connected ever so slightly. Which allows people to pass between sometimes!" The whisper explained.
"I see..." Samuel relaxed. "But where are you? I can't see you?" He asked and he could swear that he almost heard a laughter in his mind. "I am your Night, you gave me such a fitting name master! I have waited a year for you to be able to hear my voice! I am soulbound to you, but I do not normally exist in the mortal plane. You haveto channel your magic and focus to summon me. If you need me that is!" The voice almost snorted.
"I see....." Samuel replied and became more relaxed, "Can you hear my thoughts?" He asked aloud and the voice chuckled again, "Of course I can, silly master!" Samuel suddenly felt the presence in his mind when he focused on it. "I am your loyal steed! But I swear if you mistreat me I won't hesitate to leave."
"Noted!" Samuel replied, still unsure of the whole thing, "Thats kind of, amazing... I don't know, how to describe it. But thank you for... joining me on... this, journey?" Samuel slowly replied. "So I guess thats, incredible but I don't really know what it all means? How come you are soulbound to me?"
"I don't even know how I went walking in the shadow realm, place.. plane, whatever! I am certainly happy that you saved me that time though!" Samuel replied.
"Well, don't ask me! I haven't the faintest clue! Suddenly my soul tugged me in your direction and when I came upon you and saw all the shadows hunting you I didn't want to let them kill you and the moment we touched our souls bonded. I guess I am bound to you for a reason!" Night snorted again.
"By the way don't you have this thing called class?" Night asked and Samuel suddenly realized that he had lost himself to this new scenario. "Shit, you're right! Thank you for reminding me!" Samuel quickly gathered his things and fixed up the last details before quickly running to class. Hoping he wouldn't become all too late.
He arrived just before the professor thankfully having ran at his top speed he was quite out of breath when he entered the room and quickly walked up the staircase and took his seat next to his teammates. They looked at him with a questioning look and looked like they were about to ask him why he was so late and out of breath when the professor announced himself.
"Well class, today I have quite a few stories to tell you! Stories of failure and success! Many stories are told in our history books and those stories are what we are going to learn from. Take some time to memorize the importance that stories have to tell!" The professor took out a large book from a holster and looked at the students whom most had a disappointed look. But he inwardly smiled at the ones that looked upon it with interest-
