Chapter 68 - Episode Sixty Eight

Five years later

Kai knelt down in front of the three gravestones, he lit the candles and poured some wine into three goblets, placing them on the three gravestones. He bowed for a few seconds, before lifting his head and stare at the middle gravestone. A small smile grazing his lips as he read the name engraved on it.

Wang Sue-May.

"Hello mother, it has been a long while since I was here. I hope you and the others can forgive me. I have been busy, but I never forget to send offerings to place on your gravestones." A slight breeze blew through the grass, and a big smile made its way onto Kai's lips. "I guess you all forgive me." He stares at the other two gravestones, and he smiles even bigger.

"Wang Kai Ae-Cha am sorry that I didn't get the chance to call you mother, and I do hope that you are not holding a grudge because of it. I did hear alot about you, and I wish I had the chance of getting to know you.

"Wang Feng-Huang….Dad. Why did you have to go back, I could have let you stay. But you wanted to go back to be with Mom….your beloved." Kai traces his fingers over the name. His mind flashing back to the week after the battle, when he had woken up and heard that he had defeated Feng Gao and Fong Woo. He heard that his spiritual aura, along with the orb and lotus aura, combined. And he became an all powerful being, ripping apart Woo's army. Before attacking Gao and Woo, fighting to the end. He also heard that he looked at them with murderous rage in his eyes, that was the orb's doing. But he didn't kill them, no. Instead he covered them in earth, molding them into statues. Sealing them to protect magic.

After he regained his energy, Wang Feng-Huang had come to him requesting to be with his beloved again. His job in the mortal world was done, and now he wanted Kai to send him back, just like how he had brought him back. And Kai respected his decision, even though he didn't want him to go.

He smiled down at his dad's grave. "I miss you all so much, but it is what it is." He took a deep breath and smiled to lighten up the mood. "A lot of things have happened throughout the five years. I finally saw Li Jen again, she came to Li Jie and Zhang's wedding. I met her daughter, who is a bundle of joy. I met her again at Li Hua and Jin's ceremony. They are Li Jie and Zhang's twins, girl and boy as you know. They are four now, and a Corbin copy of both fathers. Zhang had made tea with the fertile root and drank it, he had pestered Jie about it. Saying he didn't want the royal bloodline to end, and nine months later, I got to meet my niece and nephew. We finally found Wang May. She had gotten mentally ill by hatred and vengeance. So when we found her wandering around, she was admitted to the mental ward of the Drogan's palace where she has been helped as best as she can. Father Wang Guang is doing better, he still misses you, mother. But he is happy because he has me and Zhang. Shufen had confessed his feelings to Taio, and after realizing that I didn't share the same feelings as him. Taio accepted Shufen, and they have been going strong ever since. You all must be wondering about me. Well, I could have never gotten through all that happened without Qing Yuan. And I wouldn't want to be with anyone else but him, he is my soulmate after all. And with him, I am stronger. So we tied the knot, and he took over both the kingdom and the head of the Prospector's council after his father passed it down to him. And now, I will have another Huang to call my own." Kai smiled brightly as he moved his hands away, revealing his forming baby bump. "I saw how fond Qing Yuan is with Zhang's twins and any other children he comes in contact with, so with a bit of persuasion. I finally got Qing Yuan to let me drink the fertile root, and now, I have his unborn heir waiting to see the world."

"Kai." He heard Qing yuan's deep, yet soft voice. "It looks like it's about to rain, so it's time for us to go." Kai nodded at him, before turning to face the gravestones.

"I guess this is the end of my visit, but I promise that I will come visit more often. I just want to say, if it wasn't for all of you. I wouldn't be here, so thank you." Shui came to help him to his feet, wrapping his arms protectively around his round stomach. Leading him away from the graves. Kai turns to look at them one last time, before walking away.

"You alright?"

"Yes, I am always going to be alright, as long as I have you by my side." Kai smiles up at an already smiling Qing Yuan.

"I will never leave you. You are a part of me."

"And I am a part of you."

The End
