Sue-May couldn't have brought in the small pot of soup at the right time. And Kai would have kissed her if it wasn't for the fact that he was foaming and shooting daggers at Qing Yuan's head, and the royal pain in the ass knew that he had upset Kai. Because he is sitting there, staring right at him with a knowing smirk on his face. 'That bastard. Got me thinking that there was actually something between us, kissing me like there was no today. And now he has the nerve to say that he doesn't even consider me as a friend!' Kai gripped the chopsticks tightly, never stop glaring at the other young Prospector sitting in front of him.
".....i, Kai!" His mother yelled, snapping Kai away from his little glaring fest. "Are you alright? I have been calling you for ages and you wouldn't answer."
"N-nothing is wrong, I am alright." Kai smile up at his mother. He release the poor chopsticks when he followed his mother's gaze to his whiten knuckles as they enclosed around the eating utensils.
"Ok then…if you say so. I will go back to the kitchen and finish preparing meals for May's wedding,so I hope you boys will enjoy it." She smiles cheerfully at them, but her gaze shifts to Kai. Still not buying his whole I am alright story. She had seen how he was glaring at the young prince, and she knew her son perfectly well to know that something was up. But she will not push, she will wait patiently until he is ready to tell her.
The three guys ate in silence, none of the three dared to say a word. Only the occasional slurping of noodles and spoon and chopsticks hitting against the bowls echoes around the room. That little glaring thing that Kai had going on earlier, left Zhang feeling uncomfortable and confused. Is there something going on with his junior brother and the prince? Because Kai isn't someone who gets upset over someone telling that they didn't consider him as a friend, he would just shrug and act like the person meant nothing. But Zhang saw the hurt flash in Kai's eyes before it suddenly changed to anger and he started to murderer Qing Yuan with his heated glares.
Qing Yuan on the other hand wasn't affected. He simply just stared back at the naive boy, wishing he could just pull him into a hug and cuddle the daylights out of him. But the young Prospector knows patience, and also knows how to control his urge. Knowing for a fact that his time will come, where he can have Kai to himself and fulfill his fantasies.
They continue to eat in silence, but this time a more comfortable one. Kai had(well I wouldn't say forgotten) about what Qing Yuan had said, but he couldn't let because of anger, this delicious soup in front of him got cold.
Kai hummed in delight after putting a spoonful of soup into his mouth. His taste buds come alive with the different burst of flavours, the sweet and spiciness out doing the rest. A moan escaped his mouth as he savoured the taste, enlightening an inaudible groan from Qing Yuan. Several more moans had escaped and by that time, Qing Yuan was battling a big and uncomfortable problem down below. Making him squirm a few times, trying to adjust himself. Zhang have noticed, and from Qing Yuan's movements and Kai moaning, a deep blushed formed on Zhang's face. "Is there something going on between you too?" He think he had asked in his head, but he actually spoke out loud. Catching the attention of the other two males. Kai choke on his soup, while Qing Yuan sat with a smirk.
"W-What?" Kai ask all innocent. But the blush was prominent on his cheeks, neck, and ears.
"Y-you heard me, now answer the question." Zhang narrow his eyes at his younger brother.
Kai look from his brother to Qing Yuan, who sat like he wasn't involved. "Ah....um.....I-"
"You?" Zhang impatiently mocked Kai, urging him on to answer the question a little faster.
Kai open his mouth to answer, but close it again when they heard heels clicking on the floor and May came up to the table. A nasty smirk coated her red painted lips.
"Yes Kai, answer the question." She sneer at Kai, and Qing Yuan place his hand on the hilt of his sword. Ready to defend Kai if the she witch standing in front of the table decided to do something to his beloved...ah, he means Kai.
From the first time he had saw her, he had read her aura and saw that she wasn't a very nice person. He didn't tell Kai what happened, but yesterday after they arrived at the house. Kai had went away outside to spend some much needed time with his two dads and Zhang, when Wang May came into Kai's room and started to throw herself shamelessly at him. He made it clear that he wasn't interested, not to mention that she was going to get married the next day. He kept on pushing and pushing, even to the point that she wanted to strip in front of him but he down right threatened her that he would tell her future husband of her unfaithfulness. She had back away. He also knew that she was standing outside Kai's room door, and knew that she had saw them. But he didn't care, Kai is the one he wants. And he is going to make damn sure that he gets him.
"Yes Kai, come on. Tell him, tell him that you and the young master over here was lip locking all night long." Kai breath hitched, and the chopsticks fell from his hands. Zhang turn to face him, and then look at Qing Yuan then back to his brother. Various expressions cross his face that neither Kai or Qing Yuan could read, but they quickly wither away and a broad smile replaced them and a look burst from his mouth.
"I knew it, I totally knew it. Father owe mother and I one gold each." Zhang laugh, bending down and took up Kai's chopsticks and handed them back to him. "I knew it, but I am happy for you junior brother. And Shui?" He cringe a bit, not feeling comfortable addressing the prince so informal. "I only hope that you take care of my junior brother, protect him from all the evil out there that wants to hurt him because I can't. And if you hurt him, I don't care if you are a prince or a Prospector. But know that I will come after you." Qing Yuan nodded, and bow to show that he respects his words. Which made Zhang smile even bigger.
They heard a scoffed and heels stomping away furiously. "What's up with her? Isn't she getting married today, and yet she is here wanting someone else's prince." Zhang laugh out loud, and went back to his soup in front of him.
Kai look up at Qing Yuan, who just lean over the table and caress his left cheek making the young smile.
