To lessen their doubts and worries, Zuriel decided to check the book of Malum. As the keeper of the book, he had the authority to permit others to read it.
"I will let you know parts of your doom, but I cannot tell you everything." Zuriel said.
They were in his official chamber to read the book of Malum. Elisia didn't like the idea, but Zuriel and Thane wanted to make sure if her doom really changed because of what she did.
Zuriel flipped the pages of the book while they sat on the sofa and waited. Her heart couldn't stop pounding. She felt like she would die of anticipation.
Thane felt her anxiousness so he held her hand and smiled at her.
"Relax. Just expect that what I said earlier is the truth so it won't surprise you." He winked.
She chuckled. Thane had a point. Instead of thinking of what's in the book, she just had to expect the worst.
"There it is," Zuriel whispered.
