Elisia was shocked. She wondered if she heard him correctly. Her heart was pounding not because of the eerie feeling in the dungeon, but because of the words, Thane said.
"Are you certain? Did you check everything?" She asked.
Thane didn't like Elisia's reaction. But he tried not to show her his disappointment.
"Lady Elisia, we have investigated everything and found out that Adrian was involved in the kidnappings of little kids and they were all demons. If His Majesty will allow it, you could check the files after seeing your husband." Alex answered.
Thane felt a little uncomfortable when he heard the word husband. Elisia didn't notice Thane's expression, but Alex and the rest felt it.
The beta wanted to scold himself by referring to Adrian as Elisia's husband. He looked at his king and saw his dark expression. He wanted to apologize but ignored the awkwardness for a while.
"No. It's fine. I know everything you said was true." Elisia answered.
