~Chloe~
"Speak to me, you dimwit! Or have you gone dumb as well?" She smirked.
I chose to say nothing, nothing at all as I stood rooted to the spot at the entrance of my class.
"Matilda!"
I looked sideways when I heard Zoe call out her name. Matilda looked toward Zoe with a smug look on her face, her minions were standing boldly behind her and that gave her enough boldness to respond to Zoe.
"What's the matter little miss perfect, are you feeling sorry for her?"
Ignoring her statement and the annoying nickname she gave, Zoe responded saying
"You are forgetting your place, I'm the only one allowed to make my twins' life miserable, not you."
"Whatever losers. Happy resumption. And oh, I do hope you get expelled before prom." Matilda said to both our faces in her conk British accent before walking away with a mischievous smuggle on her face. Oh how much I'd love to wipe that smuggle off, but I can't, at least not at the expense of my admission in Wesley Academy. I entered my class and sat at the back roll while my twin sister who was in the same class as I, sat at the front roll towards the entrance.
Fifteen minutes later, our Biology teacher, Miss Patricia walked in and the classes began. One hour after the class started Matilda and her minions walked into the class like they owned the school. I wasn't surprised though because I saw it coming, and that is because she hasn't changed much. She always had her tiny braids worn in a ponytail. Her skirt always ended mid thigh and she always had an extra button open to show off her cleavage.
Urgh...c'mon not that she is not pretty, I mean I would kill to have a skin tone which by the way is crimson brown. But I feel like she is trying too hard to get the attention that she already has by her mere existence. She had a lilac contact lens which made her eyes stand out.
Her full plump lips were pained in maroon colored lipgloss . I really don't know where she gets the idea of coming in an hour after the class has begun, but she has been doing that ever since she won the Science competition two years in a roll.
What a total show-off, someone needs to put her in her place.
And it is definitely not me.
I replied to my subconscious. I couldn't help but pity two of our previous biology teachers who have attempted to put Matilda in her place. It was not a pretty sight at all and I do not want to go down that memory lane. I just hope that almighty God would console the families of both teachers.
Miss Patricia a slightly plum Indian lady with brown long wavy hair, caramel light skin, golden brown eyes, pointed nose, and slightly pointed ears as well. She obviously didn't want to be a victim like the previous Biology teacher, so she decided it best to ignore her and concentrate on teaching and explaining to the rest of us. I was supposed to be listening to her but I couldn't, not because I didn't want to but because I've already treated this topic on my own, 5 times if I may add.
Yea I'm that nerdy, but because I have a popular twin sister people tend to forget that I am a nerd whose hobbies are to read and talk about educational books. I was really getting bored already and I thought I might pass away the time by sketching a new anime at the back of my biology textbook.
Yep as you guessed it, that is my secret Talent. Whenever no one is looking I sketch my heart out on my sketchbook. And once I'm done, I transfer the sketches to my laptop and bring them to life with colors, sceneries, and outfits. I never miss a moment to sketch and it has been my lifelong dream to be a world-renowned anime creator. For once I'd be the center of attention and not my horribly mannered twin sister.
Me imagining it right now felt so real, the lights, the cameras, the microphones, my fantasies were cut short by the sound of Miss Patricia's thick Indian accent as she spoke
"Miss Chloe?! What class do you think you are in?"
"Umm Geometry? "
The class giggled at my response while I gave her a forced smile with pleading eyes. She shook her head sideways in disapproval, just when she was about to pronounce her punishment on me the bell rang for the end of the class. She huffed instead, packed her things, and left the class while our next teacher, Mr. Abusalmi walked in.
"It the start of a new week, new term, and last session for you all, you're all expected to work twice as hard... "
Here we go again, we've been hearing this same lecture every new session for the past 5 years. Well, this year makes it 6. To be honest, I'm tired of him saying the same thing over and over again anytime he gets the chance to, how we need to be studious and serious with our Academics. It's seriously starting to piss me off and from the corner of my eyes, I could see that everyone had a bored and pissed-off expression on their faces which meant they weren't enjoying it either.
Finally, the tedious speech was over and he began teaching us the quadratic equations in Mathematics. As usual, I had already gone through this topic like a million times before we resumed so it was a total breeze for me.
Mr. Abusalmi is a dark tall and bald Muslim who has a mole at the side of his neck. He has been our mathematics teacher since I came to school here. He is one of the strict, most disciplined teachers I've ever know and he never fails to show it in his dressing. He was always dressed in a suit and tie with every button on his clothes knitted properly. He never jokes in his class and that is why I always, and I mean always, pay full attention in his class even if I already know what he is going to teach us. Trust me you don't want to get on his bad side by not paying attention, it will not end well at all.
"And that, my students is how you solve a quadratic equation. Now who wants to try, I promise it will be easy" He said.
And he always breaks that promise, why even bother promising when it's going to be twice as hard as the one he solved.
I know right, it's so sad, I just pity the poor unsuspecting student he's going to call.
I responded to my subconsciousness, sure enough, his victim was Talfick another Muslim like him, but unfortunately for Talfick he is the most unserious laid-back science student I've ever met.
Sometimes, I wonder if he was even meant to be a science student because the last I checked, he performed an experiment so wrong and we almost lost the entire chemistry lab that day. Some say he did it on purpose, some say he is just a clueless rookie who had no idea of the damage he caused. Whichever way, he was going to pay if he misses this extremely hard equation Mr. Adusalmi was going to give him.
