Akame sighed as she recalled her battle with Itachi. If it weren't for her Mangekyou being more powerful and her knowledge of his abilities and future plot she would have died. If it weren't for her Unlimited Blade Works... She would have been killed by Obito!

Anko, her girlfriend, arrived with some fruit and started crying when she saw her girlfriend, finally, conscious after all these years.

"That was the... The worst fight in my whole life. Itachi and that man who called himself Madara. Anko... I had to use Senjutsu and everything else I had up my sleeve. If you encounter Itachi and that man with the spiraled mask, run and never look back!" Akame activated her Sharingan and transferred the memories of that fight to her.

Anko was back within a few seconds and shuddered.

"They are powerful. I can see why you went into a coma." Anko placed the fruit by the table stand sat at her lover's bedside and grasped her hand.

"The chakra exhaustion should have killed me. I was at Chakra Zero, and no Shinobi no matter how powerful they are... cannot survive without chakra. How am I alive?" Akame asked her girlfriend.

"Tsunade happened to be in the village that night, she saved you. You have a lot to catch up on. She is also the fifth Hokage now." Anko sighed.

"Oh, kami... Is the village bankrupt!?" Tsunade barged in when she heard that.

"How low is your opinion of me, Uchiha?" Akame looked like a deer caught in headlights.

"..." Akame slowly turned her head to the window and she was gone the next second.

"Come back here you ungrateful brat!" Tsunade ran after the Uchiha and caused property damage while hunting the Uchiha brat.

"I know these streets better than you brat! You can't hide forever!" Tsunade's voice echoed into the hospital bedroom.

"AHHHHHH!" The scream of bloody murder sounded out and it came from Akame.

"I should probably go..." Anko's face paled as she ran toward the sound of the heart-rending scream of agony.

"I'm sending you and Anko as backup for Team Kakashi. I know you just woke up but we both know you haven't lost a single drop of your strength and you are blade with no rust. Your left eye houses Semei Kikan which you use to restore your body to its peak state. You are good to go." Tsunade rolled her eyes when she saw Akame flipping the bird while raising it slowly at Tsunade the entire time the Senju was speaking. Tsunade was intimately familiar with Akame's personality as she was her father's dear friend.

"Alright, I'll be on my way then." Akame rolled her eyes back to Tsunade and left the building with Anko.

"Ezio, your daughter is a fine young woman. She is back in action old friend." Tsunade smiled as she caressed the diary of Ezio Auditore's thoughts throughout his life.

"His thoughts on love are truly sublime." Shizune smiled as she put a cup of tea next to Tsunade and spoke about Ezio's last words before Itachi killed him.

"..." Tsunade's face darkened.

"Sorry..." Shizune sighed and backed away.

"Itachi Uchiha... You cut down my best friend in what should have been his peaceful years. I will never forgive you... Never!" Tsunade's chakra began to run wild.

Ezio was in his late 80s when he died, he went from a stranger to the village to the most decorated War Hero of Konoha. Tsunade believes that a man like Ezio deserves to pass away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Ezio wasn't just a friend to Tsunade, he was like a second father to her at the same time. Ezio was well-loved by everyone in Konoha even when the nine-tails incident happened he was still loved by the whole village despite being married to a Uchiha.

/// Days later.

"We're here... Again... I fucking hate this place." Akame said with disdain which earned looks of anger from the Suna Shinobi.

"Oh that's right, you were stationed on this front during the third war." Anko gained a look of understanding.

"I was just a genin back then same as you. Just trying not to die while explosions, jutsu, and other attacks fly all around me. The sand was red and purple all around. All around me, I saw Konoha Shinobi and Suna Shinobi dropping like flies all around me." Akame's gaze darkened with the activation of her EMS.

The words all around me made Anko and the Suna Shinobi nearby get some flashbacks from those times. Different War Fronts but in essence were the same... filled with death blood and the screams of the dying.

The roars of a man in pain sounded out through the hallway.

"Who's dying?" Akame grinned menaceingly as she ate Dango on a stick and was heard by Kakashi and Naruto.

"It can't be..." Kakashi was on his feet and was shocked.

"HEY! That's my friend in there you jerk!" Naruto yelled.

"Leaf Shinobi and Sand Shinobi can be friends? Normally we just kill each other senselessly and grin as our blades take the life of the next one and the next until we die or the war is over. I was unaware enemies could become friends, clearly I've been asleep for far too long." Akame dodged every attack Naruto and his clone threw at her.

"Alright, that's enough Genin." Akame pushed the real Naruto's arm away and bitch slapped him in a way that would make Seiya blush.

"AHHH!" Naruto ran at her again and got a slap in return.

"Ee-Yow! Why, you!" The slaps kept coming and each one made the doors tremble. After a while, Naruto gained some extra intelligence and decided to stop running at the mean lady who kept slapping him.

"Lord Baki! A reply from the Leaf Village." 

"Thanks, ... It's from your Hokage." Baki passed the scroll to Kakashi.

"Well, you got here quite fast Akame. Sure you're okay to be up and about? Even heading straight first into combat?" Kakashi frowned as he looked at the woman who was given a mission the moment she woke up.

"Shinobi can only rest when they're dead. If I am ordered to go on a mission I will do so, and move on to the next. When I am told to kill, I kill I do not question why and I do not mourn the fallen. A Shinobi must fulfill their role and move on to the next. Before you talk kid, I do mourn but that happens after the war We are Shinobi kiddo at our core, we are nothing more than a headband and a kunai." When Naruto was about to speak she cut him off.

"So you're just content on being a tool!? That's wrong... Just so wrong." Naruto felt like he was seeing a Uchiha version of Haku.

"It's not that easy. On missions I am a tool but when I'm not... I'm just me. It's hard to explain as even I haven't figured it out yet. Times change so quickly... Leaf and Sand ninjas are friends now... Hey, you guys got a smoking area?" Akame pointed at her cigarette.

"Down the hall on the left." An old lady pointed.

"Thanks." Akame grinned and walked away.

"No rest for the wicked." Kakashi rubbed his spikey hair with a resigned sigh.
