Walking like squads, Emily and Doris walked to the battlefield. Their eyes welcomed lots of dead bodies and the floor, still, yet, the battle just looked like it just started. There were still numerous soldiers fighting both with magic and swords. Elisa's soldiers were killing Melissa's soldiers as it was just a simple game based on a huge bet. Doris was angered at the ugly sight. Looking opposite direction, she saw her husband, Kai fighting with five enemies all at once. He looked like a great warrior in those fitting armor.
Still watching, an enemy came by and started attacking Doris. Doris who's very sensitive sensed him even before he got closer to her. Before he could attack, Doris had already slit him into two. Anger was her name right now. Over her dead body would she allow Elisa to win over Kai and his Mom?
Hopping into the middle of the battlefield, Emily and Doris fought enemies attacking them. They looked like slayers with a beautiful faces. Doris was so concentrated as her mind kept on chanting"We can't lose!" She whispered to herself.
Killing lots of enemies coming at her, she was so confident that she would win the war and then, she and her husband would have a peaceful life. Gazing up at the mountain, she saw a figure standing up there staring daggers look at her. No one could identify who it was, but within, Doris suspected that that person would be Elisa. If she was the one, why wasn't she coming down yet? Her men were almost killed by her. Her instinct told her that she was staring at her. Wanting to move further, blood splashed on her body. Turning around, she saw an enemy dead behind her. Veering around to see who killed him, her eyes widened in shock...
"Amanda!" She exclaimed and the girl winked at her.
"Thank you, Princess," She said as she slit the throat of another enemy. Still caught in awe, she heard the clangs of the sword behind her. Her eyes widened when she saw Gideon and Melissa exchanging swords with each other. She couldn't believe her eyes. What was wrong with Gideon? How dare he fight with the Queen?
Just about to stop him, Kai appeared from the blue and attacked Gideon. Gideon fell with his left arm bleeding due to the cut that Kai gave him. Doris' eyes widened in fear and surprise.
"What the hell do you think you are doing?" Kai frowned as he raised his sword to Gideon. The guy frowned as he stare daggers look at Melissa.
"Your mom wants, Her Highness" Gideon said out loud despite the dangerous signs Melissa showed him. Doris' eyes widened in shock as her gaze flew to Melissa. She couldn't hurt her. Doris refused to believe it, even In her nightmares, she had never dreamt of something like that. Why would she attack her?
"Are you accusing my mom?" Kai was angered even more as he attempted to slit Gideon but the guy was fast to stand up and raise his sword back to Kai. Everyone was stunned. Doris could feel her kneel weakening. She knew Gideon. Gideon would never lay an accusation on someone without proof. She had to stop this!
Kai was stunned by Gideon's attitude. Swinging his sword, Gideon waged all his attacks. Doris was scared that this might not end well. She can't lose Gideon or Kai. Now, Instead of fighting the enemies, a war was waged against themselves. This was freaking unexpected!
Watching them, Doris suddenly got pulled by Melissa and a sword was pierced through her heart. Doris spat out blood as she pushed Melissa from her hold.
"Your Highness!!!" Gideon yelled out as he ran to Doris to catch her from falling to the ground. The battle paused at that minute.
"Ahh" Doris panted hard as she tried doing something about the injury but nothing was working. She looked over to Emily, but the girl worked away looking broken. She didn't even dash her a glance.
"Mom? What did you do?"Kai still couldn't believe what he was saying. He laughed and then, he looked at Doris again. Then, tears streamed down from his eyes as he refused to touch Doris' body.
"I did exactly what you are seeing, She needs to be gone and besides, I can't let my son get married to a mermaid. Over my dead body" Melissa looked mercilessly as she saw Doris losing her life slowly. Tears dropped from Gideon's eyes as he watched his princess dying slowly.
"I couldn't protect you, Your Highness. I'm sorry" He said as tears streamed down his eyes.
Doris smiled and wanted to touch his cheek, but then, she gave up the ghost.
