Chereads / THE LAST HORRATIO / Chapter 15 - [8] b

Chapter 15 - [8] b

"Stun me?! You are crazy!" Gala got up in a hurry, not caring if her head hit the small ceramic glass her mother had collected. He touched a little, there was a lump that seemed enough to make Gala wince in pain. "Shit," he muttered under his breath.

"Master must eat first."

Gala snorted disapprovingly, her eyes glaring at Dice but as soon as she turned her gaze to the kitchen, the annoyance she had earlier was gone. The delicious aroma of roasted meat and mashed potatoes plus the various salads served in front of him made his stomach growl.

Soon he ate his dinner where Dice was standing not far from him.

"Master likes it?"

Gala's mouth was full, she didn't intend to answer now about the praise she was about to give Dice. The taste of the food is delicious. Gala only responded with a thumbs up. Then go back to eating.

"You really don't eat this kind of food, Dice?"

Dice shook his head immediately.

"But why are you so good at cooking it?"

"Mr. Xavier who taught me to cook various kinds of dishes."

The meat that Gala was chewing was slightly stuck in the throat. The discussion about his father really annoyed him, but he felt Dice was speaking with honesty. "Tell me about Xavier you know."

Dice looked at Gala a little disbelievingly. But he still nodded. Gala's words now were what she had to do immediately.

"Master Xavier has lived a long time, sir. Maybe if you calculate the current year's age, it's about 800 years old."

Great choking gala. What did he say? 800 years? Is his father a human or a ghost? He hastily grabbed the glass filled with water that Dice provided on the dining table. Until the toilet, until he felt his throat was a little more relieved and his eyes weren't too watery because of the piece of meat earlier.

"Don't talk carelessly, Dice."

"I? Talk recklessly? In which part? Everything I talk about is based on facts."

Talking with Dice does sometimes ignite Gala's emotions.

"Master Xavier is pure Horratio. Guardian blood runs through his veins, Lord Gala. Your father is descended from a great man."

"Unlike me a loser."

"You are not a loser, sir. You're a great person."

Gala squeaked. "What do you see in me and look great? What?" The young man chuckled. "But I'm quite curious, is the Horratio really that long-lived? 800 years?"

Dice nodded confidently. "Right. And it's likely that you will even if your blood isn't pure."

"It means?"

"You are special, sir. Horratio's descendants are new this time of mixed blood. But your whereabouts are unknown. Mr. Xavier blocked all access for others to know about your whereabouts."

Gala blinked slowly. "You know why?"

"Mr Xavier once said he loved you so much, sir. When you meet Mrs. Bellamie, Master finally has a definite goal. Happy with the woman he loves. Unfortunately… it's not easy."

"His position is getting squeezed even more from the Sky Lords as well as the four Metro lords."

"I don't understand, Dice."

Dice just glanced at him, then resumed his speech. More or less began to understand that the new Master was different regarding capture power. He remembered a piece of advice where at that time they were cutting through the forest to the West Metro.

"Looks like this Gala is a bit slow to receive information. Or because there is something that must be a trigger for him to grow normally?"

"I don't understand that, sir."

Xavier chuckled softly.

"Help him, Dice, in the future. Have a little patience with it."

"Yes sir."

Dice immediately got rid of his memory with Xavier. Continuing the conversation with Gala which must be detailed and thorough so that the young man understands. "Horratio is indeed a shield from the Lord of the Sky where the order of all Metro is under his control. Have you heard of the Lord of the Heavens?"

Gala gawked, her mouth perfectly open. "Gideon the Great?"

"Right. Gideon the Great is the main ruler of the Metro plains but still needs a lot of Xavier's advice as a Horratio."

"Why don't I know who Horratio is?"

Dice tried to smile stiffly. "It's true that his figure is hidden because a guard doesn't have to appear in front, right? Especially you."

Gala was silent. Remembering the figure of Xavier who is also his father. Are they the same person? Or different? Sounds very different. Xavier who he remembered as his father was quite warm-faced with a lot of smiles whenever Gala did something he found funny. Or talk a lot about this and that.

"Then?" Gala is quite curious about the figure of her father who has this other side.

"I was made to arm Mister Xavier to destroy the Metro. It's been a long time since Metro has committed many offenses that the Lord of Heaven can no longer tolerate. But Mr Xavier always put it off. In fact, it brought me under his command without being able to be infiltrated again by the Great Sovereign." Dice glanced slightly at Gala whose face was getting more and more surprised to hear her story.

"That's right, sir. Mr. Xavier is not only smart and a strategist but also smart in terms of technology. Over the years he perfected me in the dice box that is now in your hands. He doesn't want himself to be a killing machine because it turns out that in Metro there are many other people who have not been touched by the things that violated earlier."

Gala agrees on that even though she doesn't know what things are said to be offences.

"The destruction that the Sovereign of Heaven calls for could cause total damage, Master."

"But you said it was my job to destroy Metro. What does it mean?" fast Gala reproach.

"That's right. Tugar Horratio is like that. Mr Xavier's job is the same."

"But Xavier didn't do it, did he?"

Dice nodded. "That's what makes him have so many enemies. From the rulers of the four Metros his life was threatened while from the Lord of Heavens, he was also sentenced to death."

"Is Xavier now…" Gala couldn't continue her words. His mind was always full when his father didn't come back to work. I don't know where but still alive just can't go back. Maybe like his mother?

"I don't know, sir. As I said earlier, for the figure of Mr. Xavier all access that I can seek has been blocked by him himself. Unlike you too Mrs Bellamie."

"When was the last time you were with him?"

Dice blinked slowly. "Seventeen years ago, sir."
