Chapter 3 - Bloody Head

"Ah, please have a sit", The middle aged man grinned. "So shall we?"

Andrew scanned the office. It was clearly tidy. Extremely next to the edges. And not a speck of dust lingered. He felt peaceful and annoyed. This school would surely be hard to get by.

"Alright," His Mother smiled, ". I'm Brenda Stone and this is my Son. Andrew, a nice young man"

The principal turned to the boy who didn't seem to care about anything. He simply stared at the middle aged principal, with an expression - Watcha lookin' at?

The Principal, Edward Miles, a very astute being and strict. He was a Man of principles and none would be broken under his terrain. He looked at the boy before him. Turned to face his too nice of a mother.

Who are you fooling with that tone and face woman?

You simply want me to admit this boy.

There's no need for the fake pleasantries.

To think that humans of such degree were shameless.

" Don't worry at all", His smile was the most sincere. With years of practice, he'd manage to act the part of the caring guardian.

He'd be the judge of that.

If your child is truly responsible.

....

"And sign here and there"

Minutes later, the registration was done and the duo greeted before leaving. The air outside had suddenly become dense and free. That was because the atmosphere inside the office was frigid and cold for the Air conditioner.

" Grumpy old fart" Andrew couldn't help but mutter.

"So everything has been formalized and you resume tomorrow" Brenda began breaking the silent atmosphere. "He seems cranky a bit but that's what any Educational System needs. A Powerful leader"

Andrew eye rolled, sneering and chuckling sinisterly.

"Until they comprehend the matter and send him off" He replied blankly, staring into his phone.

Brenda turned her gaze to him.

"Who?" She felt puzzled.

"The majority rule. That is to say the students of this prestigious academy" Andrew said. "No matter the case. Every school always have the dare devils. Who turn against any power of authority that threatens their free rule"

"What?"

"That is to say, he's soon gonna get fired by something a bunch of twisted teens sabotaged and framed him for. Strict. Rubbish."

He remained indifferent and chuckled slightly. Finally they were out of the school premises. Brenda had to make further enquires on something and she walked back inside, leaving Andrew by the door way.

The boy felt stifled. He just wanted to leave this area and be home. At least preparing himself mentally for his first day of school tomorrow. And the stress of meeting people and weirdos.

"Gosh". He sighed deeply and brought out his headphones. He needed a simple distraction and games did the job.

It was fun. He smiled and slowly moved about. Then the wind howled, suddenly the air became tense and bleak. There was a bitter presence that'll make one to cave in.

Darkness.

"Oh, sure thing Sir". Brenda said over the phone as she walked towards the entrance.

"I know. Yes.... Sure thing.....And....."

She felt the tense atmosphere. Like a storm was coming but on getting outside, she looked up to the clear skies. It was blue and crystal. Then...

As her boss spat words on the other end of the call. Her mind spun and sank. Her body suddenly trembled. No.

Andrew.

"Andrew?," The word was hard to mumble. Her body felt frigid and stiff. No.

"ANDREW!" She shouted, her voice so loud and unwavering.

"ANDREW WATCH OUT"

Oblivious to the constant yelling of his mother, Andrew continued his gaming with a smile curling up.

"Yes. Almost gonna there. Final level. Yesss....And?"

And just as he moved oblivious to the yelling, the wind howled and suddenly the lamppost he stood by, pulled out of the ground. It bent and slowly came down. Andrew tilted his gaze to se the shadow on the tarred road that continuously got bigger. He looked up startled and unable move.

The echo that came next was a loud crash of an electric pole unto a Jeep. And a figure laid unmoving on the road, head bloodied.

"Andrew" His cried out, rushing over at the sight of her bloody son.
