Chapter 3 - The beginning

Jay was busy training as hard as his small body could. He did this since he thought he was the only one in the family without a major achievement

To some extent, this was true. Both his parents were strong masters known all over the land for their great exploits.

His brother at only 20 was a guild master and was already prepared to undergo the trial.

Today his sister had been told that she showed much promise. Her tutors expected her to become the youngest master at only 17 years of age.

This made Jay to work even harder as his little heart yearned for this more than anyone could possibly fathom.

"Jay come inside its meal time" called a sweet voice from inside the house. Seconds later a tall beautiful woman could be seen exiting the house.

She had a gentle expression on her face and her crimson eyes seemed to be glowing.

"But mom I feel a breakthrough just around the corner, I know I can do it. Please just a few more minutes" said the boy.

He bore almost no resemblance to is mother as his hair was snow white and his eyes a deep blue.

"You said the same thing yesterday and the day before!" Said the woman smiling. "Tell you what, come in for dinner and i will give you a training secret.

"YOU said that yesterday and the day before mom. And all you say is work harder."

The woman laughed and it was a charming one. Her laughter was melodious and even the saddest soul that heard it would lighten up

The child brightened up and obliged with the request of his mother.

Later that night the whole family was at the dinner table. They were all very happy and Sarah, Jay's sister was the topic of discussion.

" Good work Sarah, you're as good as your mother with that flame control." said Joe, the family head.

"Yeah sis in a few years youll be leading a guild almost as good as mine." chimed in Tony, the eldest child.

"Can you give me some training tips sis, please? I feel a breakthrough coming on" Jay said.

"You always say that you feel a breakthrough coming. When do you really expect it to happen?"
