"Heh! You hear that loony basket? What a freak." Two guards were patrolling the second-floor catwalk in the prison block where Norman Osborn was being held. Upon hearing the Goblin laugh, they stopped in front of his steel door and made fun of his psychopathic cackle, unaware of their fate.
"I wonder what's so funny? Why don't we give him a little check-up?" The other guard walked over to the steel door, grabbing the handle slowly. He wasn't aware of the monstrosity on the other side, feeling his presence and waiting to turn him into his first victim.
πΎππΌππ!
The man screamed as he was grabbed by the skull by a single hulking green arm, piercing through the steel door as if it were a paper wall. His partner's eyes widened, fearing the unknown beast that just kidnapped his partner.
The inside of the cell was completely dark, from the outside, the man could no longer see his partner or the beast that took him inside of the abyss.
"AAAAAAH!" The blood-curdling screams of his partner could be heard, sending a shiver down his spine. Simultaneously, a fiery glow reflected off of his eyes, causing the man's entire body to freeze with fear. The room continued to illuminate orange until the screams inevitably died down and cease completely.
The room was silent. The officer stood still as if he were a deer staring at the headlights signaling its death.

His partner's body burst through the door, breaking it off of its hinges completely. His body was then seen bending itself over the railing next to the lone officer. He looked over at his partner and saw nothing more than an unrecognizable charred mess. His skin was completely melted and his bones were visible beneath what was left of his melted skin.
The officer looked back at the cell, trembling before the unknown. Through the debris, he saw nothing more than the massive silhouette of a beast and a singular glowing red eye. The beast took one step forward, causing the floor between the two to tremor.

The officer finally snapped out of it and pulled out his weapon. "Stop right there! Or- or I'll shoot!" The officer was still trembling as if he were in a blizzard, the adrenaline in his body was overwhelming him. He could still see the silhouette, unbothered by his threat as it took another step forward, revealing more of itself to the victim.

"Haaaah!" The monster took a breath, illuminating his face with fire, showing his fangs, his green reptilian skin, and his devilish smile. His body language and confident face dared the man to shoot him, knowing that something as weak as bullets would do no harm to him. The man took the dare and began emptying his gun at the beast.

π½πΌππ!
π½πΌππ!
π½πΌππ!
π½πΌππ!
Each bullet bounced off of the monster, doing absolutely nothing to it. Tears streamed down the man's face as he hopelessly attempted to defend himself, knowing his efforts were becoming more and more futile by the second. He kept pulling the trigger until a dreadful sound signaled him to stop.

The man's six-shooter was no longer loaded with ammunition, the clicking sound marking his death. The silhouette stepped from the debris and the smoke, showing his massive green body and his hideous grin. His red eye stared into his next victim's as he continues to step forward.

Frozen, the man allowed himself to be grabbed by the throat as he was lifted up off of the ground. The Green Goblin brought the man's face to eye level before opening his mouth which began to glow red like a stove heating up. The man wriggled in a useless attempt to break free, his imagination filling in the blanks for what is going to happen next. "Please! Plea- AAAAAH!"
Fire spewed from the Goblin's mouth, completely engulfing the man's body and face. The man's skin started to melt and his bones began to turn to ash. Unlike his partner, the man was cooked thoroughly until there is almost nothing left of him.
π½πΌππ! π½πΌππ! π½πΌππ!
Officers from all around the massive cell block began firing at the monster, each bullet causing absolutely no damage to him. In fact, the violence fueled him, causing him to smile eagerly before he began his counterattack.
He held out his hand, forming a fireball before looking up at a female officer on the catwalk above him. She stopped firing upon seeing his gaze meet hers, dropping her gun while turning her body as if she were trying to escape. Before she could even move more than an inch, the Green Goblin threw a fireball at her torso, completely melting her upper half and blowing a hole through it.
She stood in place for a few seconds, looking down at the hole in her body that showed nothing more than her charred spine. She then fell to the ground, dying almost immediately.
Seeing this, the rest of the officers stopped firing and being to scatter in different directions. The mayhem, their fearful screams, and their cries fueled the Goblin even more. This was everything that the Green Goblin, being stowed away inside of Norman Osborn's brain, had ever lived for. The bastard Norman held him back for years, but now he was in full control.
The prisoners from inside their cells watched the violence with awe, cheering at the free entertainment as if they are transferred back in time and watching the violence within an ancient roman colosseum.
The Green Goblin lept up to the third floor of the cellblock, landing in front of three officers that were making their way to the stairs in order to escape. Standing in front of them, he chuckled as a shit-eating grin formed across his repulsive face. He raised his hand, filling it with fire, before fire punching all three officers in one attack.
Like a skewer going through meat, his arm penetrated their bodies, allowing his arm to come out of the other side of the third cop. Their organs sizzled due to the heat of the attack, slowly fading as if the sound was signaling their souls leaving their bodies. He looked down at the officers below him as he pried one of the corpses from his arm.
After choosing his target, a larger officer who was fitting for his first practice throw, the Goblin ignited the dead body and threw it at the officer like an MLB pitcher. He hit the officer, lighting him ablaze, and causing him to fall down the stairs, and land on his comrades. This started a chain reaction of officers catching on fire, rolling around in an attempt to put it out, and running frantically in fear.
"Strike 1!" The Goblin pumped his fist as if his sick acts were something to be celebrated. Taking another corpse, he did the same thing, this time hitting two targets with one toss and starting another chain reaction. "Strike 2!"
After another celebratory cackle, he looked down to see officers making their way toward the exit, pilling up like animals in an attempt to squeeze out of their one tiny door. The monster laughed once more, enjoying watching the cattle beneath him fear him as he pulled the last body off of his arm. Like a pitcher, he once again threw a body, but this time hitting the door and igniting the control panel and a few of the officers nearby.
The door malfunctioned and closed, causing the rest of the officers to stop and begin slamming on the door in an attempt to get help from the other side, but to no avail. The ones at the front, near the spreading fire, attempted to run away, but the fire caught up to them and ignited them.
At this point, the smell of flesh was taking over the air, causing the Green Goblin to take a deep breath to take it all in. After he's had his fix, the Goblin jumped down, landing in front of the officers as they cowered in fear. Without saying a word, the Goblin opened his mouth and shot out flames like a flamethrower, cooking all of the officers like roasted marshmallows.
In the control room above the cell block, the officer inside was frantically attempting to inform the other cell blocks of the attack inside of the facility. As he spoke on the intercom, he could do nothing but watch as his comrades were slaughtered like animals. He looked down at the Goblin and immediately dropped the phone as their eyes met. The Goblin continued to grin, grabbing a corpse from the ground and throwing it through the window of the control room with incredible force.
He hit the officer, sending him backward toward the emergency evacuation button and opening all of the cells in the cell block. All of the cells begin to open, releasing all of the inmates from their shackles and allowing them to exit their cells.
The Goblin stood in the center as all of the inmates escaped from their cells. They all approached him, smiling and showing their appreciation for their savior. Once the crowd was full, the Green Goblin scanned the room and began to speak to them.
"The heroes like the Spider-Man, Silk, and even the ones who can't be bothered with this hell hole of a city like the Avengers, don't realize the monsters that they created. They fly around the city like gods, looking down at people like you as if you were nothing! Throwing you in this hell hole because they view themselves as so high and mighty, so far above people like you, that they refuse to kill. How about we show those heroes what happens when they underestimate you! Show them why being a hero with their insolent values will only lead to more pain."
"Yeaaaahh!" The crowd cheered, buying everything that the crazed goblin was spewing at them, failing to notice that he himself doesn't even view himself as one of them. In actuality, he was disgusted by their lack of intelligence and impressionability. He too saw them all as beneath him, however, he would still use them to create mayhem.
"First! We take Rikers! Kill every single last one of them! Then we go to the mainland and show those hero-loving imbeciles of New York what their heroes really do for them! Third! We kill the Spider-Man!" The last line caused the crowd to erupt. Most of them were captured by the spider, so now was their chance for revenge.
There were even a few familiar faces among them. The Shocker, the Chameleon, and Tombstone were standing on the third level looking down at him with cold stares. They had no interest in joining in on his mayhem, but if it meant they'd be able to escape, they'd follow his rules.
The Green Goblin then led them through the facility and repeated what he had just done in every single cell block.
After an hour, the entire population of Rikers prison had taken over. Some chose to stay, ruling over the prison as if it were a kingdom of their own, while others chose to flee the island and come back to the mainland.
The Goblin, of course, chose to go to the mainland to cause the most mayhem and kill Spider-Man with his own two hands. Although this isn't the way that he wanted to do it, his son working with him, as well as the new hero Silk, put a wrench in his long-term plan. However, he was almost certain that he would win this time.
______________
"The largest prison break in history has happened tonight as Norman Osborn led a riot, leading to the deaths of almost every single officer within the facility. Those who aren't killed are being held captive and used as tools for inmates to make requests for money or to flee the country. The city is being completely overrun by prisoners. Where are the Avengers? The Fantastic Four? Anyone? Even Spider-Man and Silk, please do something! Save us all from-" A news reporter was speaking into a broadcast to break the news to the people of New York, however, she was interrupted by something.
The man of the hour, Norman Osborn, the Green Goblin, burst into the room. Her eyes widened before she looked into the camera to say her final words.
"He's here! The Green Goblin is at the ABC news-" The Green Goblin grabbed her by the face, holding her up before leaning down and talking into the camera himself.
"Spider-Man⦠This message is for yooooou! You were sooo afraid of being the monster! Yet, here you are letting the real monster walk free! See what happens when you play the hero? Lying to yourself that you're any different from me. Claiming you're better than us because you choose to be the better man. The lie ends tonight! The blood of these people is on your hands! Once I've had my fun, you and your pretty little doll of a girlfriend will be next. I-"
The broadcast ended, leaving the fate of the news station up to the imagination of those who are watching.
