Chapter 6 - After 8 Years

Eight years quickly passed, and from today onwards, I will be able to move around the town on my own. In these 8 years, many things happened.

First, I got mana guidance from my mother at 1 year of age. Because I was in coma for 6 months my mother was alarmed by it, I kind of got impatient, and from the broken language I learned with the help of Chloe, I was able to convince my mom to help me with my mana guidance.

And apparently, in mana guidance, it's just a process of getting a feel of mana by having someone who is adept at manipulating mana to send some mana into your body. My mom was skilled enough to do this and I even got a skill Mana Sense!

However, to be able to manipulate my mana, it took me another 3 years. According to my mother, it should only take about 2 months, but kids normally learn at age of 12. I am pretty sure from my mother's expression that I was still behind the average time required for my age group, not to mention as a Nobel, I am expected to do better than normal kids.

Also, I was given a shock at the age of 5 that Alice, maid Rebecca's daughter, with red hair and brown eyes, and is 3 months younger than me, is my fiance. Apparently, people here normally get their kids engaged at a young age to protect them from becoming one of many mistresses of a good-for-nothing Nobel.

Regarding this, Chloe was able to get more information for me by overhearing maid's gossip about how my mother is unlucky despite being a Baron's daughter had to marry a Viscount older than her father's age, just because she caught his eye and had no fiance arranged.

Unfortunately, I wasn't even able to get to know the name of the Viscount family my so-called father is from, but seeing that he never came to visit over even when I was in coma, or, for that matter, he never visited here, I will make sure to get my mom a divorce from him and proper compensation for my mother.

But for now, I just have to focus on getting stronger.

As it turns out, everyone gets to level 1 after growing up a bit. Unfortunately, Appraisal and Status Hide don't really give much exp on use, but because they use a really small amount of mana, they helped me in increasing my mana by a small amount.

From the age of 6, I and Alice are being taught about this world by Rebecca. Seems like people here haven't found any other continent yet, so our continent has no name, but we have 3 kingdoms, 1 empire, and an unconquered forest.

There is Cromwell Empire on the west, with the Besfall Kingdom on the north, the Sorom Kingdom on the south, and finally the Seraph Kingdom on the east, where we live. There is also the conquered Unforgiving forest in the centre which is the biggest of all kingdoms and empires in our country. It is filled with beasts and monsters and is not conquered by anyone yet.

We live in the outskirts of Revel town in Seraph kingdom. Our mansion may be located on the outskirts but it's not at all uncomfortable living here. The only problem I face here is the lack of people. I, other than the people living here, have only met the doctor uncle. Not to mention maids other than Rebecca and Alice, while young, are no fun to talk with because they think they have been sent to this place far away from the main residence is my mother's fault.

My so-called fath-, scrap it. Let's just call him Viscount Pig, yeah, even though I never met him, it feels perfect. It is obviously Viscount Pig's fault, as because he doesn't care about my mom, and probably because of my mom's father being a Baron, and me getting born, he can't just throw us away so he arranged an isolated mansion for us. Once I will become strong in the future, I swear I will *** **** in ****, ****** **** to ****.

'Phew, I am getting too much angry here, this is not the kind of stuff an 8-year-old kid should think. I shouldn't ruin my good day today, after all, it can probably help my future'

That's right, today will be the public Attribute Check in the Magic Guild. My mother has arranged a four-year Novice Mage coaching for me and Alice! Apparently, we will be joining as commoners and the fees for it came from my maternal grandfather. Normally for Nobels, a private teacher will be assigned to them who will teach them at their home, but it's good enough for me that I will be able to learn magic either way.

My mother tried to teach me magic, however, she will probably be counted under the tag of geniuses, she can wield her Earth magic as if it's second nature to her, but she can't teach me how to use magic because of the same reason. Not only did I not inherit her Earth Magic, but she also doesn't even know how to teach! She just goes on like, 'do this like this, and this like this, and take that from there and here, you have it!' Like hell I can learn magic like this!

Surprisingly, Alice was able to learn fire magic from this explanation, however, she also can only create just some sparks right now.

Currently, I, Alice, and Rose, a maid from our house are heading towards the Mage Guild. Don't underestimate Rose though, she might be young, but she has more masculinity than any alpha male! Standing at 6'6'', each of her arms is thicker than my entire body! And her voice is thick and heavy! She even has a beard for fuck's sake, and I still doubt if she is really a she or not! Despite being a maid, she is actually more of a guard. Just one look at her, and no one in this world will mess with you, however despite looking like this, she is a warm-hearted person, but just her raw masculism intimidates everyone around her no matter what she does.

'Oh, I can see the Mage Guild from here!'
