Chapter 37 - Loving the Process

The toils of the education are bitter but the fruit is sweet.

Eren recognized the importance of mana points, mana pathways, and mana circuits in a ranker's body. These ethereal components were vital for a ranker to enter the official rank and progress beyond being a Meta.

Mana points were small deposits of mana within a ranker's body, accumulating energy that could be used for magic. These points were connected by mana pathways, creating a network of ethereal veins that allowed mana to flow and be dispelled.

Mana circuits were specific combinations of mana points and pathways used for executing spells. Each spell had its own set of instructions on activating the ranker's mana circuits to achieve the desired effect. Rankers studied and practiced these spells, eventually making them their own.

Non-rankers possessed mana points and pathways but lacked functional mana circuits and a mana core. Through intensive physical training, non-rankers could stimulate their mana points and pathways, increasing their density and eventually forming a mana core.

Eren engaged in an intense workout, channeling his mana as he lifted weights. His runic bodysuit flickered with light when he channeled his mana, and the magic array in the gym increased the concentration of mana in the space. Despite the challenging conditions, Eren pushed himself to his limits, cursing and sweating as he completed his sets.

Reflecting on his progress, Eren acknowledged his initial weaknesses but remained determined to improve. He embraced the challenging journey ahead, recognizing that true achievements required effort.

With a sense of solitude and determination, Eren continued his workout, pushing himself further. He acknowledged that seeking and persevering were essential to his growth. His heart pounding, Eren found solace and motivation in the process of rebuilding himself.

Time passed as Eren tirelessly exercised, his muscles sore and his body exhausted. Sweat streamed down his face, signaling the intensity of his efforts. Despite the physical strain, Eren's resolve remained unyielding.

Eren's workout, which had already lasted for over 45 minutes, continued with chin-ups using a weighted belt inscribed with runes. The strain on his body was evident, with fatigue setting in. Yet, Eren persisted, aware that this level of dedication would bring consequences the following day.

Acknowledging the toll on his body, Eren decided to end his workout after an additional 30 minutes. He knew that the next day would bring challenges, but he was prepared to face them, relying on the magical resources at his disposal.

As Eren left the non-rankers' gym, he could feel the effects of his intensive workout taking their toll. His body was worn out, and even simple movements became difficult.

Despite the physical discomfort, Eren was satisfied with his efforts, knowing that he had pushed himself to the limit. A sense of achieving something washed over him and soothed his agitated thoughts.
