He beheld a shadow, shrouded in the cloak of darkness, swaying with an unsettling intensity. Like towering bamboo fiercely buffeted by the relentless wind on a desolate riverbank, it commanded a fearsome presence.
"What in the world is that creature?" Mou Hou wondered, his voice tinged with disbelief.
Before him stood a peculiar sight—a human draped in the skin of a beast. Although not his first encounter with such an anomaly, he couldn't help but be astounded by the fact that a human could undergo such a complete transformation, resembling a beast to an uncanny degree. In comparison, his own ability allowed only partial metamorphosis, rendering him nothing more than a half-beast. The young man standing there, however, presented himself as a full-fledged beast with a human countenance.
