Hades was sitting in his office later that afternoon, his mind completely occupied by thoughts of Persephone. After watching her have her breakfast and talking to her for a while, he couldn't seem
to get her off his mind.
Firstly, he couldn't get his mind off the little twig she had bloomed to life when she was having her breakfast, that intrigued him a great deal, nothing had ever grown in the underworld except pain and misery, and nothing could ever be grown.
He recalled a time when Demeter came to him in hopes of striking a deal. She proposed she bring growth and harvest to the underworld, so they could cut down on food importation from the mortal realm and Olympus, and in return, Hades would endorse her company, that was at the time just starting up.
