Persephone felt a quick and brief wave of sadness sweep over her as she packed the last of her belongings in a bag. The semester had flown by a little too quickly, and now she was heading home for the break.
She put the bag with her clothes on the floor and proceeded to pulling off her sheets, and it was then she noticed a long string of black hair on her bed. The goddes picked it up and studied it, her eyes widening slightly at the realization that what she was holding was a string of Hades' hair.
What was he up to? She wondered, was he safe? And most importantly, was he happy?
"What you got there Persie?" Eris asked her friend as she pushed her black suitcase towards the door.
Persephone stared at the little strand of hair for a few more minutes and then tossed it out the window. The wind carried the hair away, together with any romantic feelings she still harbored for the crimson eyed god.
