After driving for a few more minutes they arrived at the gate that led to the academy . There stood a large metallic gate ,vines both dried and fresh had grown around the gate in a creepy but impressive way thought Julie . There were four guards standing on both sides of the crepy and old gate , one came out and asked Julie's uncle to come out and so he did . The guard was buff, tall and had a serious expression that didn't bother Julie's uncle at all .
They talked for a while before the gate was open and they were let through , when Julie looked out the window for fleeting moment she saw one of the guards smile at her and there was something that made her look away with doubt and worry . There was something that irked her when she saw the guard smile at her it really didn't sit right with her. " What was that about ? " murmured Julie after driving for ten minutes they finally arrived at the school grounds .
There were buildings of different sizes but they were painted with odd colours black , white and grey . Julie's uncle parked the car at the side of the open parking area , a few students passed by and they were all in uniform . After successfully parking the car Julie's uncle got out and waited for Julie to come out of the car . Julie got out of the car and looked around internally saying ' Am finally here ' Julie took a big breath to calm her nerves and it helped a bit though . Julie looked around and she was mesmerized by the site and so was her uncle , " You see dear everything here is pretty nice am sure you will have a great time and new friends " Julie heard him uncle say .
" I doubt it will be so " Julie murmured , the students who were moving back and forth didn't bother saying hello or even spare them a glance everybody was busy chatting or going somewhere , no one came to offer any help to them . " How rude and impolite ! no one seems to feel the need to help us here , we should just go home and forget about all this " Julie hopefully suggested . " My dear what are saying ? look why don't we ask around " Julie's uncle also suggested .
.. " Uncle Johnnie when you say we ! you mean you right ? " questioned Julie , " No silly you are the student here and not me , so you should asked around " Julie's uncle answered thoughtfully . " But uncle !!!! " Julie pleaded , " No buts just do it "her uncle declared with a smile . " But they all look so mean and ready to bully me " Julie said worriedly to no avail . While the two continued their conversation they heard a familiar voice calling out to them . " Julie ! Julie ! Uncle ! " , when Julie turned around she saw someone who surprised her " You're here too ? " Said the person who had called out to Julie .
" I.....guess I am " replied Julie who was shocked to see her here , " Hi Uncle Johnnie "the girl greeted with a smile " Hello my dear, how have you been doing? "Uncle Johnnie asked , " I have been doing well" " Ooooh ! Julie I missed you so much , how long has it been anyway ? "the girl questioned . " A.....a month ! " Julie replied. "A month ! time sure flies fast , doesn't it ? questioned the girl . " It sure does " Julie nodded , " So are you looking for the administration block ?" the girl asked , " Yes but I missed you so very much....Jane "Julie replied while hugging Jane tightly .
" I know you did cause I did too " Jane said with a smile , " Okay let me take you there " it was quite a relief to Julie when she saw Jane here and not because she was afraid to ask around but because she wouldn't be alone anymore . Unlike Julie Jane had tied her hair into a pony tail with a red Lacey ribbon and she looked prettier in her uniform . When they reached the block Jane too them inside where they met the principal's secretary who gave them a weird but warm welcome .
After going through the process of admission Julie was given a set of rules , the school calendar ,a dorm key and apparently a map of the entire academy as if she might get lost somewhere and might need it . " How weird can this academy get ?" Julie mumbled to herself , After a few minutes it was time for Julie's uncle to go and so after saying a few goodbyes he hugged Julie " Don't get into trouble , don't break the unbelievable rules here , study hard and please take care of yourself ..... stay safe for your mother and Lily okay , I' ll miss you goodbye "Julie's uncle said as he let Julie go .
After he was gone Julie felt weak and alone but luckily she had Jane so she didn't feel completely alone . " Julie I have to go get something could you please wait for me here ?"Jane asked and Julie nodded , after Jane had left Julie waited for a couple of minutes before she got bored and decided to look around the campus . She stared at the magnificent buildings for a while they were tall ,grey in colour with large white coloured windows , the top and the roofs were painted black and that really surprised Julie . There was small gardens on either sides of the buildings there were different kinds the roses , But what amazed her the most was the fountain at the middle of the campus that was sculptured and designed to look like a flying bat with water falling out of its mouth.
In Julie's eyes it was creepy but cool at the same time , she stood there for a while all alone still awed by the fountain she kept feeling the stares and the glares that slightly alerted her and made her anxious . " What's with all these people they keeping staring at me like am some odd toe " Julie thought in her mind . Julie decided to take out her phone and put her earphones to listen to some music just to distract herself and keep her mind busy .
Her little distraction was cut short by a tap on her shoulder and when she turned around what she saw shocked her .
