Well as they planned, the girls had a few days out while the boys had their hands full. A secret mission as they told them and not to be disturbed unless it was food or the kids.
"Hi, Alex, who is this?" asked Meg as soon as she saw Maverick.
"Oh this is Liam's cousin, Maverick. He will help us with the mission,"
"Maverick meet my wife Sarah, Meg her best friend Meg, and Alex's wife, this is Paul's wife and his little munchkin," I introduced everyone to him.
"Nice to meet you all," he said politely.
"Dada, he has blue iyes," said the baby getting down and holding into Maverick's knee.
"Don't you also have grey eyes," said MAverick scooping the little one up. The kid started playing with his long hair.
"Darling, will you go with Mama to the beach and make a big castle for dada?" asked Paul, thinking about how to distract the kid, if not they will not be able to do the work.
"Will you come with aunty, so we can go for a swim too?" asked Meg.
The little one agreed instantly and agreed to go with them. While Sarah handed me a basket full of food and drinks.
"OHHHH.... yum, THanks little bud," said Alex hoping to take it from me.
"Thanks, Sarah," said Liam with a nod.
"Honey, I will call you after lunch is ready,"
"Ok, you be safe and don't go swimming without me," I said as she is not a good swimmer and I fear letting her swim alone. And I looked at Ms.Tomboy with a warning stare.
"I got it Mr.Hot shot now shoo," she said pushing me and dragging Sarah with her.
Liam looked at Ben with a sudden curiosity as to why he won't let Sarah swim.
"Ben why did you ask Sarah not to swim?" asked Liam.
"She is not really good with swimming and because of her illness she might suddenly have a concussion,"
"Oh sorry, I didn't know. Is this all because of.."
"Yes, Liam. She has some issues that might not be able to heal this lifetime,"
"And what about kids?" he asked with a worried look.
"Because of the accident, she lost the baby and we might never get pregnant again," Ben said looking down. While Alex put a hand around his shoulder as comfort.
"Does Sarah know?" asked Liam.
"No, it will be hard to handle it. So please don't tell her I told you about this. Maverick I hope you keep this to yourself too," I said looking at him.
"This all happened because of me. What's the worth of my life if I am born to do wrong every time," collapsed Liam. As this news was a shock.
"Liam, we all met because of fate. Life is giving us a second chance to correct our mistakes," said Alex.
After that, we went to the room with the diaries and the documents in hand. I took a seat near the window so I can watch the girls and the kid. Even though I had Markus and the team looking after I am worried about her. Alex sat next to me with the same purpose in his mind.
After a few hours,
"Oh man, this is hard," said Alex almost falling off the chair.
"These are too detailed," said Paul rubbing his head.
"I guess let's take a break and head to the beach," said Liam standing up.
When we headed to the beach, I saw the girls playing with the sand making different types of sand models. I quietly went and hugged Sarah from the back while Alex took Meg for a swim. Paul ended up being a helper with their sand castle while the little kid, tried to bury him with sand. Liam and Maverick settled into the two chairs and enjoyed some drinks.
"Hmm, nice sunny sand design, love," I said while kissing her cheek. I know she feels uncomfortable showing affection outside.
"Ben!!"
"Don't worry they are just friends. What are you thinking?"
"Nothing just wanted to enjoy some free time,"
"So are you enjoying yourself being a kid?" I laughed at her while wiping off some sand from her hair.
"Hmm... Markus told he'll order all of us food from outside for a change. Hope it's ok?"
"Yes, that's good. Would you like to go for a swim or a stroll with me?"
"Hmm... a stroll?"
"No, let's swim a little and then go for a stroll?" I dragged her to the less deep area on the beach to let her float before she can refuse.
After about an hour Markus bought us lunch and gave him some details to be double-checked by the next day.
"Aunty, see what I made,"
"Wow did you really make it yourself?" asked Sarah.
"Did you?" asked Paul.
"AHmmm... no dada helped me,"
After that, we all went to the little porch to enjoy our lunch. While the girls head to have a rest we went back to our diaries.
"OH my.... look at them, staring at us," said Alex picking up his book.
"You volunteered," said Paul teasing him.
"I agree, you should have thought about it before," said Liam.
"oh well, I should have thought," said Alex.
