This was a few days after meeting with Liam, that Alex found I had been a bit distracted.
"Hi are you ok?"
"Hmm,"
"No I mean you were not so attentive to the meeting as well today?"
"I had something in my mind,"
"Care to share?"
"Well, what if we - the third generation can talk about this and put this revenge story to an end,"
"Do you think it's possible?"
"I feel like we could,"
We went on talking for a while, till our fathers came into the office room.
"Markus told me you guys met, that Liam," said Alex's dad. Who had been furious with what he had done to Sarah?
"Yes, dad,"
"So what did you find out?" asked my father.
"Can you guess?" asked Alex.
"The old physco wanted him to do these?"
"Well yes, technically, but," said Alex.
"What do you mean?" asked my father.
"Senior Alexander was the one who had harmed his own son, who didn't do bad things on his command," I said.
"You mean the limping thing?"
We nodded our heads.
"What a furious man he must have been?" said Alex's dad.
"SO he used it and threatened a teenage Liam to do bad things. If he doesn't his father will pay the price," I explained further.
"But how did they know Dave?" asked my father.
"Dave was a basketball star those days and they had met during a match and became friends. But that old notorious case wanted to get revenge. So he asked Liam to do it in exchange of his father's life," said Alex.
"What!!!"
"Alex, did you notice the scar on his wrist?" I asked.
"You mean the one he tried to hide?"
"hmm.. he must have gone through tough times with the old man," I said looking at my father.
After a while, Alex's dad said, "Why don't we talk and settle all these old issues?"
"But dad there is another problem that we cannot do that," said Alex looking at me.
"Yes, his grandfather had asked one of his cousin's gang to carry on the mission if this failed. And worse even Liam's life can be put in danger,"
"You mean?"
"Dad, his cousin is a ruthless man like the senior dude. A mafia leader from the hills,"
At the same time, there was a knock on the door,
"Come in," I said, and Markus and Alex's gang head came into the room.
"Boss we found details about them as you requested," said Markus.
"GO ahead," I said looking at the screen.
"From what we found out he is twenty-nine, raised by the Senior Alexander himself. Many don't know about him as he was kept isolated from others. His base camp is in the Hill with an area of ten acres. Where they do training and a torture base. Compared to Liam, he is more ruthless and he doesn't care about anyone,"
"How could it be?" asked Alex.
"Must be with the way he was bought up by that old guy," said his dad.
"Yes and being in such an environment, it must be something he does every day," added my father.
"What do you know about his gang?"
This is when Markus looked at Alex's leader.
"They are the most dangerous gang in the Hills and the surrounding areas. People fear them a lot. One mistake is enough to be either be headed or be disabled for the whole lifetime,"
"Yikes!!" said Alex.
"They have around a thousand members and they have specially trained troops to follow and attack anyone who is a threat to them, especially the follow Liam and his gang every time,"
"Do we have a way to identify them in a crowd?" I asked as gangs normally do have such identification methods.
Markus shared with us some photos, with a marking and an enhanced photo of a tattoo.
"This is their mark. This is kept on each member's left-hand middle finger. AM is tattooed on it,"
"AM?" asked Alex.
"Alexander Maverick," said Markus.
"What is that?" asked Alex.
"It's the gang name, sir,"
"hmm..."
Markus went on to tell us about the troops but something was missing.
"Markus," I said.
"Yes sir?"
"Do you have any photo of him without a mask?"
"Hmm... no we couldn't find any without that,"
"Don't you think Liam will have?" asked my father.
"No, I don't think so, because he hasn't met him in his life," I said.
"What kind of cousin is that?" asked Alex's dad.
"It seems like the Senior dude didn't want them to meet," pitched in Alex.
While the others went on talking about different ways to do I started to think about what this old man thought. I mean from his point of view. One thing I realized was he knows he did wrong, but he's defensive to handle the truth. So he put the blame on others. But that was done in a ruthless manner. But why was my question ? Did he have a past that no one knew about or was he afraid of something this is how he ended up dealing with it?
