Eva added before picking up her things.
'I'll make sure you'll be mine after two months.' John thought before standing up from his seat. "Why don't we go and grab something to eat? Do you have time now or do you have something to do?"
"I'm going off to work. Oh, another thing. Don't pry on my work. Don't try to have any P.I or whatever to follow me. If you have something in mind, just ask me directly."
John scratched the tip of his nose while glancing at her and then at her phone which she was holding.
"What is it?" Eva asked when she couldn't take any more of his stares.
"I...I don't have your number." John answered while pointing toward her phone.
"Give me your phone." he handed him his phone after unlocking it. Eva added her contact information for him. "That's my contact details."
"Thanks. Shall I send you to work?"
"No need. I'll take a taxi there. Do whatever you're supposed to do after this. I'll go ahead." Eva walked away and out of his sight.
John chuckled as he made his way out of the shop. Hands-on his coat pocket with a white shirt underneath, he looked really cool.
Some people stared at him with shock, some were scared and some with dreamy eyes. But he didn't bother himself at all. He ignored them as he walked towards the approaching car.
His driver today was his regular driver since Hawk and his team had to go somewhere and investigate some matters of military affairs.
If they were with him, they would be utterly shocked. More than what his driver felt at that moment.
"Where to Sir?" His driver, Wesley, asked while manoeuvring the car on the road.
"Let's go back to the company," John responded before closing his eyes to rest for a while. A faint smile was still hanging on his lips which clearly showed he had a great time. A genuine smile that never showed up since his mother left.
Eva also returned home to think of her future plight. 'Isn't that great? You could always ask him if things won't go well?' A side of her brain whispered. 'Right! You don't have to find another guy! He's right there!' Another side responded.
"That's indeed true. I can always ask him if it's not working. Heh! I got a stock of sperms right in front of me! Yay!" Eva jumped on her bed in delight. She really had a brilliant brain cell.
She was really happy since she didn't have to worry that much. Aside from that, she had been planning to go on vacation after two months
So she could execute her plans while waiting for that day to come.
That night, John came home in haste. He packed some of his clothes and personal belonging. He was moving out.
"What's this for sir?" the secretary asked innocently while filtering the search results.
"I'm going to rent it for two months. Show me the good ones later." Then he turned around and left, leaving his stunned assistant in her own imagination.
John put his things inside an ordinary car. He can't live extravagantly or else his target would know what's going on.
They watched him go away in his car with a face full of worry. John had been alone for so many years.
When his mother died, he took over his father's company because his father was too depressed over his mother's death. His father closed himself off from anyone, including his son.

Merry got home and found Eva sitting on a couch in the living room.
"So how did your confrontation go? Was he upset? Did he give up already?" Merry inquired for a gossip without even changing her clothes first.
Eva laughed at her best friend's behaviour while thinking about what to say. "I thought of giving him a chance."
"Really?!" Merry gasped with unbelieving eyes. She never thought her best friend would actually give someone a chance.
Eva put her tablet down and looked at her best friend carefully. "I am not doing this because I want to have a relationship. I'm doing this for myself. I mean you, you know the reason why I hooked up with him right?
If the first time won't work, I can ask him for another round and I don't have to find a different man. I'm sure he would give in to me cause men would always think of using the lower part of their anatomy."
Merry was dumbfounded by her words. She was right! It was unbelievable for Eva to give someone a chance and it's proven to be true.
Eva stood up from her seat. "You can say I am selfish in this matter. Yes, I am. I admit that because I don't believe a man like him would actually take interest in me.
And I don't believe in love. It doesn't exist in my world." Eva left her best friend who sat there with a sad smile.
Merry knew how much Eva suffered when her mother left. She had been waiting for the day that her father would look for her but it never happened.
Merry sighed while watching her best friend walk back to her room. "I really wish that someone would show you what true love is."
In her room, Eva took out the gift that John gave her that day. She sat beside the huge teddy bear and hugged it. "I really hope that you'd give up soon."
After hugging the stuffed toy she opened the box and saw a bracelet with a heart-shaped stone and a red string as the lace.
EVEN IF YOU DIDN'T LIKE MY PREVIOUS GIFTS, CAN YOU AT LEAST ACCEPT THIS? IT'S FINE IF YOU WON'T WEAR IT. -John
Eva crumpled the paper and threw it in the trash bin. She looked at the item once again before putting it back inside the box. She didn't even touch it.

The night quickly passed and the next day came.
