She just had it early, but she wanted it so badly. John told her to happen to eat some fruit to avoid eating more carbs. She wanted to deliver through normal labour, and to do so, he monitored her diet so the baby didn't grow so large that it might lead her to a C-section.
She picked up the half-moon of chocolate and ate half of it. She let it melt on her tongue, savouring the sweetness of the milk and the slight bitterness of the cocoa.
"Wow! I love this. It's really good!" she exclaimed with delight, her eyes sparkling from the taste. "Can I have another one?" She asked him cheekily, putting her index finger in front of him, indicating that she wanted the second one.
"No, John is going to kill me for feeding you so much sugar tonight." He turned her down, making her look down on her, frustrated. "Don't worry, I'll leave some for you." She looked up at him again with a happy expression on her face.
"You're the best," laughs Eva.
