Chapter 1 - Reality sets in

February 15, 2022

Walking up to his alarm, Odin grumbles as he lifts his tired body. His long black hair covered his face, but he moves it away as he gets out of bed.

He grabs his phone and checks his media, responding to texts before going to the bathroom and washing up.

As he goes back to his room to get his clothes, he realizes his bedroom has transformed into a luxurious room filled with statues and paintings. Display cases are all over the walls, yet they hold nothing inside them. Odin rubs his eyes in confusion.

"They say sleep deprivation causes hallucinations but never thought they are this real?" Odin said as he entered the room, feeling around to see the place.

"Hope I don't stumble on my bed or chair. Actually, I should call for help right now, but where is my phone?" Odin said aloud as he looked at the room in confusion.

He made his way to the counter near the back and saw that there were a few tablets inside the display case of the counter. As he tried to take a closed look, a red screen appeared in his vision.

[welcome host I am your system. I shall assist you in becoming the best seller on your planet. I carry many goods from all your world's history.]

[I shall now find you your sell point. Please wait]

[sell point found Warhammer 40k universe]

[universe is considered a class 6 universe finding guardian to protect the owner and store]

[negotiating a deal with the demon of hope]

[host, please confirm the deal]

"Uh... Yeah?" Odin said as he still was wondering how long the hallucination would last.

[deal has been complete as the owner you will get 50% of the shares while 40% will go to me and the last 10% to the guardian you have becomes a level 1 seller and will get your starter kit soon]

"Ok," Odin said as he wondered if this was a dream instead of a hallucination.

"Is there a clock somewhere?" Odin asked the system.

[Yes, please look to the top right of the wall]

I don looked and found a digital clock that said 9:34 A.M seeing that he could read the clock; he pinched himself and felt pain.

After a few seconds of silence, Odin ran out of the room.

Being back in his house, Odin looked around and went to his kitchen and saw his clock on his stove that said the same time as he saw. He repeated the same thing and pinched himself before the reality set in. It wasn't in a dream or a hallucination.

He really had a system, and he also made contact with the dark far future that was 40k.

Sitting on a chair, Odin stared blankly at the table, lost in thought. As he regained himself, Odin sighed and his whole personality seemed to change. Odin then called the system in his mind.

'System?'

[yes host?]

'How do I sell?'

[please open the starter gift pack]

'Open starter pack.'

[congratulations you have received

"Uh, ok," Odin said as he looked at the items before clicking on beginner communications skills.

He quickly absorbed the knowledge and experience from the skill. The skill only focused on basic communications for retail work, but it helped Odin have a clue of what to do and say.

Getting up, Odin walked to his room now store and opened the door but only saw his normal bedroom. Odin was confused but realized the system could change his room between bedroom and store, so he didn't bother asking.

He grabbed his phone and got dressed before leaving the room and closing the door. He then held the handle and thought of the store and opened the door. The bedroom changed once again to the store, and Odin was excited that his guess was right.

He walked to the counter and sat on the comfy office-type chair and clicked on the lottery draws.

[Please note as you gain more technology, it is best to learn the data shards so you can better sell your items. I recommend learning all knowledge in all fields so you can be a great seller.]

Odin looked over all the items he had gained and was surprised by most of them, but more so on the data shards. Even though they said elementary through high school, the description had said that by 2022 standard a senior(12th grader) would only be a 6th grader in the 22nd century.

A senior in 2190 would have the same education as someone with a PhD. The data shards also cost quite a bit, but as those cringe educators said, knowledge is invaluable. Odin was told any currency or item he gained would turn into system coins, which could then be used to purchase in the system store or turn into normal currency.

Each system coin was equivalent to 5 USD. The data shards were not expensive compared to the weapons and vehicles, but they still were a lot.

The data shard for physics costs 200 system points and the most expensive for the data shards section is the armor smith, which cost 2,000 system points.

For vehicles, the cheapest is a lancer which is 10,000 points and the most expensive is a colossus which is a whopping 2 billion points.

The cheapest weapon cost 20,000 points and the most expensive, which was the grey swarm bomb, was 200 million points.

Odin wondered how he would sell some items like the vehicles, especially the colossus and calvaria. The calvaria was already 60 meters tall, and the colossus reached the clouds above. And their weapons the Mjolnir were already 500 meters tall.

The calvaria could become an interplanetary ship, but they were still huge and needed a crew to move them around.

[I shall take care of it. We have three rooms for now. For the three categories of items you have, we also have miniature models for the vehicles so one can view them. When a customer buys it, it will be teleported to their destination.]

[we also have different rooms for later in such as testing rooms and workshops. Once level ten is reached, you will be able to rent houses to inhabitants of the previous world]

"Ok well, I guess now all I have to do is wait. actually wait. How am I going to converse with them?"
